  1. You are a F.. en turkey Jacko! It is the National Anthem. And unless you come from another country that doesn't want to adopt our traditions. Then Shut the F'en up.
  2. Just remember there are 11 players who are OOC. Contracts will not be discussed until 16th Oct. So effectively clubs could be looking at all 11. If they aren't then why should we.
  3. I could be wrong. But I didn't see Petterd or Morton last night
  4. I just got home and I left immediately. I live 20 minutes from Crown on a bad night so you were obviously in the cheap seats. Food was shiitty booze was plentiful. But info about the club lacked substance. The only positive I gained from it was Rivers speech in my opinion was a farewell speech. Read into that as you wish.
  5. Totally agree BB, but this matter is totally out of our hands. If GC nominate then we either match with a No. 3 pick or if they don't then we take him Round 2.
  6. Good Idea only if they deliver the mail by foot to keep their fitness up to speed.
  7. I think that's the "Pot calling the kettle black". Louie did more for football in his lifetime than most others could ever dream to do. He is a stand out for LEGEND.
  8. I have seen the Nasty Side in Cam and believe me it aint pretty. As for the Board we will see their Balls over the next 2 seasons. They showed balls last year when getting rid of Bails, overhauling the FD, employing a coach which will not take any nonsense. Getting Mitch Clark on board. We haven't been able to get someone of his calibre through trades for years. The Dead wood is on the way out. I'm pumped, because as my Mantra says "Lets hope this is the start of a new Culture" All we need to do is pick up some decent kids in the Draft and we are on our way.
  9. I want a club that despises defeat. So much so that it makes them want to "SPEW" The term "honourable loss" should be banned. "Win at all costs" should be our mantra
  10. If something like that was going to happen to anyone you know, it had to be to our man "Big Jim" Just Love it.
  11. We can only pick up what we can trade. Contracts have been put on hold (Oct 16) for a purpose. Once the trade period is over, they will sit down re evaluate the list including potential draft inclusions. Only then will they decide who to de-list.
  12. I was about to come in at half time and start a new post. If anyone at D'LAND has any complaints about where the Football Department / Club is heading. Just have a look at the intensity the real game is played. Melbourne could not compete at any level with the Pies or Hawks. P_man quoted we would be 10 + goals down at 1/2 time. I would think that 186 would be tested on what I have seen tonight.
  13. I reckon journos spread this "Shite" and then do a nearest the pin comp at the end, to see who buys the beers.
  14. Yes we should have( In hindsight) taken Talia. But it should have been instead of Scully
  15. This has been the best Crap Post ever on D'LAND. Written by a guy who was obviously very tired at 3:18am. The replies by" Landers" have been fantastic. I don't think I have read so many like this replies on any forum. Merry Xmas boys. October will bring a whole new slant on things. "Do you notice no double spacing" short but sweet.
  16. Jonathon O'Rourke Calder Cannons 18 183 cm 75 kg Kevin Sheehan says: “Medium midfielder who is a prolific ball winner and smart user of the ball. Runs all day and makes good decisions with the football in heavy traffic. Has good game sense and an excellent mix of speed and endurance. Classy type who averaged 18.5 disposals at 77% efficiency for Vic Metro and was rewarded with All Australian honours following the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Another AIS-AFL Academy graduate." Jimmy Toumpas Woodville West Torrens (SANFL) 18 183 cm 77 kg Kevin Sheehan says: “Energetic medium midfielder with outstanding work ethic and big aerobic capacity. Terrific ball winner and weights his kicks extremely well. Impressive for SA in 2011 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and in the senior SANFL Grand Final, when he was among the best for 2011 Premiers, Woodville West Torrens. Won All Australian honours this year averaging 22.2 disposals. AIS-AFL Academy Graduate". Dean Towers North Ballarat Roosters 22 189 cm 83 kg Kevin Sheehan says: “Medium midfielder who was a member of the VFL State squad this year . Is a player who can break the lines with his speed and agility in traffic and is strong overhead . Mature aged player having a consistent year in VFL.” Lachie Whitfield Dandenong Stingrays 18 184 cm 74 kg Kevin Sheehan says: “Classy medium midfielder with rare awareness and decision-making ability complemented by skills either side with hands and feet. Is naturally gifted with speed and endurance and is strong overhead. All-Australian at NAB AFL Under-18 level in 2011 and winner of AFL Life Members Scholarship. Backed it up this year winning the Larke Medal and All-Australian honours averaging 23.2 disposals. Another player who has been through the AIS-AFL Academy.” Oliver Wines Bendigo Pioneers 17 185 cm 83 kg Kevin Sheehan says: “Strong medium midfielder with a distinct hard edge that wins him contested ball, including at the stoppages. Has elite endurance and can push forward and hit the scoreboard. Ferocious tackler who is a good overhead mark and prolific ball winner. Averaged 24.2 disposals for Vic Country in thr NAB AFL Under-18 Championships this year, winning All-Australian honours. AIS-AFL Academy Graduate.” I'd be very happy to snag any of these at 3 & 4 (probably towers at pick 13)
  17. Not just on the banner. At the end of the banner. he can be the other bookend to Jimmy, how appropriate.
  18. Toumpas 3 O'Rourke 4 ???? 13 could be a trade option Viney 2nd Round No idea rest of Draft Pearce FA Knights Young (wishful thinking)
