From the bottom of a sauce bottle – 3 way trade
Josh replied to Number 2's topic in Melbourne Demons
What about pick 4 to Adelaide, Tippett to Sydney x to us. Who could be x? Gary Rohan? -
Cant get that image of him running through the 50m arc agianst collingwood (was it in the draw?) and popping it to the square. Should have gone into the second tier...

Beat me too it Also love the name, are you familiar with the song Dante's Inferno by Iced Earth? It obviously covers the Inferno part of The Divine Comedy

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Josh replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Suns will nominate, what do they have to lose? If we pass him up they get Viney, a good pick up. If we take him they get Toumpas/Grundy, good pick ups. If they pass we get one of Toumpas/Grundy and Viney at 26. They cant let a future premiership threat get a player like Viney at 26 -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Josh replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Alot of talk about hard decicions and not taking short cuts. I dont keep an eye on the young talent so some other people might be able to comment futher. But if Viney isnt the 3rd best young talent avilable when we take our pick we should not take him simple as that. Pick number 3 means we get the third best player in the draft. Is Viney the third best? -
Can someone clever point out a few of next years end of season free agents?
-
Enough with wanting to pick up other clubs rejects
Josh replied to Parma's topic in Melbourne Demons
If our timing is right in 4 years or so we could attract one of the highest paid fishes out the in Tom Scu... -
Yeah trade Moloney to the suns, I do remember reading something about free agency but im sure its nothing..... sigh
-
Beems, what was i thinking... Hook line and sinker
-
My mail is we are trading Maloney for Beams
-
Sorry didnt realise it was a spelling contest
-
If cook gets to stay and Maloney goes... Gys, morton, bate... The list goes on.
-
I think the saints needed the percentage didnt they, they have to win all of there games and some other results to g there way to play finals, there is no such thing as junk time for them

You cant have a team full of oscar winners and we cant afford to be so picky at this stage, lucky some people on hear dont coach cos they would get rid of that many players that mitch clark would run out on the ground on his own next year, someone has to play in the seconds and step up when there is injuries/poor form, someone who can play foward, back, fit enough to run through the midfield, tall enough to pinch hit in the ruck etc... Im not saying we should sign dunn to a multi million dollar deal and that he is the answer to our problems, if someone else wanted him for the right trade I would not be disapointed to see him go but there is worse problems with our list than a fringe fill in player at this stage
-
Stay on our list. Worse depth players than him. He can play a role
-
Agree Dunn has proven he can stay
-
Has he been our best defender this year? I hope he gets first crack at nick on the weekend as a bit of a hats off for a good effort
-
Feel sorry for Morton. Is that the last we have seen of him?
-
Didnt know that, I suppose it is a pretty big call. Is the weeding out of so called list cloggers a positive from this year? Being able to give Morton, Bate, Petterd and these types of blokes an opportunity and the ones that are no good move on?

This year for the MFC has been a complete write off, and there is lots of negative feedback coming through these forums, some is over the top and un called for, some is fair and true. But in a long failure of a year I have noticed some shinning lights... Mitch Clark - I was worried we were spending alot of money on someone who wasnt worth it, but I have eaten humble pie. Not only on the ground but but I have seen a few pre game warm ups that he is leading, and I think there has been a few times this year he has auctioned off signed jumpers footys etc. Seems to me the exact role model for who want want at our footy club in all aspects. Jack Grimes - For Grimesy to play a whole season without getting seriously injured is worth partying over as far as im concerned. But not only that he is getting better and better each game and going more and more through the middle. Tom McDonald - We have found another beauty here. While he may never be as good as Fletcher or Scarlett (time will tell) I can see a solid 250+ gamer who at the end of his career people will say "wow he really did have a good career" These are a few good examples, lets hear some more. Ive had just about enough of the doom and gloom that follows our great club every where it goes.

On the Couch - Brock talks about 'tanking'
Josh replied to jumbo returns's topic in Melbourne Demons
Of course we tanked, your mad if you dont "experiment". Im pretty sure the NBA has some sort of lottery system for draft picks, I think we should too -
I live in hope as well, in fact i can be quoted on this site saying that patience is key, that we have a good young core. But we have had good young cores before and nothing happened, perhapes all this talk of " not enough experienced leaders with the right attitude" is right. Lets go get Sewell, Chappy, Black and as many seniour players from proven clubs and pay them to teach our kids in a similar way to GWS with J Mac, Brogan and Power
-
Disagree 6 or 7 years ago it was "when sylvia, bate, dunn, johnstone and mclean get games under there belt we will be unstopable" 2 or 3 years ago it was "when trengrove, watts, straus, blease, cook get games bla bla bla" now its "when viney, toumpas, grundy whoever get games" Seems to be a common denominator here... hmmmm...

Grimsey is just a bit confussed get off his back... He thinks he is kicking to touch, concussion will do that
-
Just have a bit of faith, they had the scoring end of the ground thats all, its all up hill from here...
