  1. I'm one baffling coaching performance away from being on board
  2. I had no idea that you weren't big on the McDonald brothers Picket.
  3. Dazzle, it was a very young side tonight. I don't think it's doom and gloom but I now see Goodwin as akin to the little man the Blues had as coach. Will get us to a certain point but we will need to look elsewhere eventually.
  4. I agree to an extent Bing. Think you're being a little tough on ANB but I certainly don't think Hunt does enough. He's a very good front runner imo and I'd prefer to eventually see a gut runner such as Bedford win selection over him. We should also remember that two players were debutants and one hasn't played for, what, three years? Those three weren't going to run the game out all that well, although pretty happy with Rivers. May, also is probably still short of a gallop. Here's the thing. We're exactly where we thought we'd be, one win, one loss. Back on the G' next week and with a good opportunity to be 2:1 up. Kozzy will want to make amends and it's a game that we can win.
  5. I prefer to be angry after a win than angry after a loss (Confucius)
  6. That's fantastic to hear BBO. Watching the show now. The show itself is all over the place (not Ben's fault) with no real narrative arc.....imo
  7. 5 debutants, jumped at the start and lost by 27 points over in Perth. I'll take it.
  8. It's Dean Margetts I feel sorry for. When every free you've ever given based on advice from West Coast supporters, how are you now expected to umpire a game?
  9. So if i read you correctly Chook, you're not a fan.
  10. Absolutely. Good luck to him because they have been directionless for a while.. And Ben King's Dad Brook is a massive Saints fan. I would think they're in the box seat to get him next year.
  11. Just about to post same. What do you reckon Dazzle? Can't help but think this one may have legs. And if he was to go, what's the compo?
  12. Perhaps you're Kim Duthie
  13. That's frightening.
  14. Macca, for what it's worth I think Toby Bedford (drafted last year and with a season at Casey under his belt) is a good chance to make an impact this year. Clearly not a key forward but will give that added dimension of genuine forward pressure.
  15. Finds the side exit locked, having to backtrack across stage again. Spies a cheese platter on a front table, snatches it. Vintage cheddar filling gob, sings Grand Old Flag, does the panning out money gesture, moves to front entrance. 'FU Buckley'
  16. Out of the Tomlinson, Elliot and Langdon, for mine, Langdon will end up the best get. I'm a little ambivalent about Tomlinson and Elliot will need to get on the park more. Happy enough if two out of the three do well. Then we aim to do well with the kids at the pointy end. I'd love MFC to take a punt on Kemp and they may if they have those three in the bag.
  17. Is he any relation to John Rantall, South?
  18. He's got Elliot staying in a multi
  19. I wasn't exactly averse to Lucas Cook
  20. Kane Cornes' musings have always been incredibly, vitally important to me.
  21. The one that will step up for us significantly (and we started to see a bit late in the year) will be Petty imo. Remember, he's very young and another pre-season should make a world of difference.
  22. The argument for keeping pick 3 is that we control our own destiny. Splitting it may mean we pick up a gem who went lower than expected but it also may mean that we end up missing out on who we're after.
  23. Look, I still like Kemp. I know the ACL impacted his season (obviously) but I think he's one that a number of clubs may end up saying 'why didn't we...'. If we were able to split the pick and somehow grab him and a Sharp or Bergman I'd be wrapped. I don't think so though. Very easy to overthink here. At least i do.
  24. Dazzle, I'm loving that you're all over this. I'm a little like you in that I'm undecided about the value of splitting pick three. You mentioned Bergman in another thread. I'm wondering whether we would look at him as the second banana if we did split the pick? I know you liked Sharp as well. Would you have Sharp ahead of him, granted they're different players.
  25. You're right of course BBO. I fleetingly imagined us as a club without direction and significant financial backing. And with players not knocking down the door to join us. That won't happen again. Nurse, my medication please.
