I've gone from ambivalent about the result to way too annoyed at the umpiring.

The umpiring in this game is close to the worst I've seen in a final. 10 - 2 Brisbane's way but it's beyond these simple numbers. It's Cats being pinged for everything and Lions being let go. How was the call against Ablett for the shot at goal! You cannot tell me that such lopsided umpiring doesn't effect momentum and then result. The Brisbane in GF narrative is surely a compelling one for the AFL

And if the coaches can get something so wrong, I'm in turn worried about their ability to make good decisions.

Elegt, too many of your posts are couched in absolutes. i.e referring to Tom Mc Donald as a 'disgrace to the jumper'....just to name one. There have been others. Here's my take. People make mistakes. And it's possible to make mistakes and still be 'a top bloke'. These things are not mutually exclusive. I'd argue that it's fluid for all of us. There's a trend on social media to damn people for all eternity for real and perceived indiscretions. You appear to have embraced this 'cancel culture' and run with it here on Demonland.
