  1. Taken out of context and tone. I'd prefer he didn't say it as these things can bite you on the bum, although that might be being a bit precious.
  2. Face like a stale pancake. Wouldn’t cut it as Gary Hocking’s wingman
  3. Gold! Kept on giving. Brainfade after brainfade
  4. Maybe not best game ever but he’s silenced some doubters. Vital cog.
  5. Dazzle, I normally hold similar views to you but we may need to agree to disagree. He did make some blues but I wouldn’t categorise that as fumbly for three quarters. I actually thought he was growing in confidence as the game progressed. I liked his game and there’s plenty of upside.
  6. Very harsh on Bowey DD
  7. Saw why Bowey's kicking is rated tonight.
  8. Great player but I don't completely buy into the 'everyboby's out to get Toby' BS. Should be suspended.
  9. Am I the only one who is struggling with the almighty leg up Port Adelaide has been given? I understand that we have to get the job done ect. However, we won the minor Premiership. We play our first final away from home and if we win it, we play a pre lim away. Now, given the circumstances, that’s unavoidable. But to gift the second seeded team a further advantage over the first team seems at odds with a remotely even playing field. I genuinely wanted to spew when BT did the ‘news just in’ bs that Port would play a further final at home. My guess, told by the AFL to announce it when the lead looked unassailable. I’ll get my tin hat. Rant over.
  10. He’s a psychiatrist down at Geelong
  11. No doubt Geelong will have a review of recruitment and make the appropriate phone calls to Houli and Burgoyne
  12. Looking forward to Chris Scott’s press conference.
  13. Gary Rohan carving it up again in the finals I see
  14. I have no idea who to support tonight or put more accurately, who to barrack against. I have a greater dislike of Geelong but that doesnt always translate to who you end up barracking for game night...if that makes sense?
  15. I see both arguments here. However, there are very few players who have the footballing smarts of Jack Gunston. Whenever we've played against him, I can't help but watch how he goes about it. Normally I'd not want a player of his age and injury profile but a fit (there's the rub) and firing Gunston would be hard to say no to. He'd be a terrific mentor to younger players working on their craft and certainly the nous to move into a forward coaching role should Yze move on.
  16. I actually just counted it out Jaded. I reckon they've put 10 out and out midfielders into the side. 10!!
  17. Because they're not content at screwing up just the Brownlow. Next year I'm hoping every position is a mid-fielder.
  18. I've got to say, if they squeeze Lance Frankiln into the team, they're having a laugh.
  19. Worthy winner!!!
  20. Great that Petracca is an All - Australian. But as a half forward? As well as the Bont, it feels a little farcical.
  21. If I was drunk or post - lobotomy then yes, absolutely
  22. I was going to mention him but I'm not across it enough. But I will say that I did feel a level of unease (as much as you can as a regular supporter) at the seeming co- ordinated attack towards a potential candidate a few months back.
  23. For mine, the genesis of this shamozzle stems from the voting arrangements surrounding the outgoing President Mark Logiudice and his Board. Forgive me for not knowing the exact machinations but I do recall that it was almost impossible for them to be challenged by the rank and file. And therein lies the problem. There's a sense of entitlement and almost ownership wherein these so called 'Captains of Industry' become all knowing across areas where they are clearly not. Whilst a different scenario, I reckon you could draw parallels with Jeff Kennett in terms of that desperate need to be seen as the main man. Most at Hawthorn will tell you that he success at Hawthorn was set up prior to Kennett and certainly in spite of him and not because of him. You look at other clubs, Swans spring to mind, where the regular football fan would be hard pressed to name anyone from admin.
