Why all the negativity? I thought that was a very watchable game. The end was brilliant.

If Essendon is keeping Saad by offering him way over the odds it's to their detriment. Fantastic.
  3. Please don't call him Damo. It gives the illusion of popularity and mates.

    It also rhymes with s h i t e
  5. 'Hello, membership. I'm paid up until 2021 season's end. Look, I've just seen that we've recruited Ben Brown and I have a problem with his run up. Yes, his run up for goal. So I'd like a refund......What do you mean I can't do that? Well, either he goes or I go. Hello? Hello?'
  6. I don't think there's any chance that we could get McKay. I would enquire about Charlie Curnow, however, if we were able to form a belief that we could get him on the park.
  7. Here's your problem Elegt. You have 'liked' several of Dr D's posts that go far beyond Jack Watts being an inconsistent player. I just went back and had a look. I invite you to do the same. Either you agree with these posts or you're just a little weak and easily lead. So your last post then becomes disingenuous. It's called painting yourself into a corner.
  8. Essentially, this post is [censored]. Dr D, in one of his inane, ill-conceived posts mentions (forgive me if it's not word for word) that Jack Watts 'just wasn't that good a player'. You signalled a 'like'. So if that's the case, I can't possibly see how you could have been a fan at all. So you weren't a fan. Whoops, you were a fan. But I'll cover my bases with some holier than thou virtue signalling. So quickly remove your 'like' and you've essentially covered your tracks.
  9. I’m sorry that Jack stole your girlfriend. But they’ll be other opportunities for an upbeat, guy with an impeccable sense of timing.
  10. Loved Jack Watts. We all have a friend like him, with that Gatsby-like ability to seemingly float through life regardless of the dramas surrounding. Something tells me that he will move on to the next phase of his life with comparative ease. And if that involves Octoberfest, bloody good luck to him.
  11. I just wish I had a banner you could run through
  12. Love Jonesy but even I’d be concerned if he’s running around 2029. Bad list management
  13. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. He's a good player and, at times, a very good player but I'm not getting the huge hype. I know people talk about him moving into the midfield but I also don't see him as any more than a pinch hitter there.

Rubbish Always an entertaining ride win, lose or draw. It's sport.
  15. This commentary is putrid
  16. Geelong getting a Kardinia Park - like run with the Umps
  17. You mean, he doesn't give a [censored] about the players?
  18. If he has stuffed up, my first instinct is that I feel sorry for him, particularly when faced with potentially career ending ramifications. I hope the Melbourne FC is able to help him where we can, whether he plays for us or not.
  19. It's a joke. Clearly not wanting to win but will go through to the keeper
  20. If the AFL are still serious about tanking they could take a peek at the Hawthorn v Suns game.
  21. Couldn't help myself - Ryan Schoenmakers But essentially you're correct
  22. For some reason (style over substance) I substituted 'good' with mediocre. I regret that! You're right but I still don't doubt that our current group, with better delivery, would look significantly better than they currently do.
  23. This is a long bow but Rivers has a game not a million miles away from the great Gavin Wanganeen. I'd like Rivers to develop his game along those lines. That much needed spring off half-back but the capacity to provide a meaningful presence in the midfield or up forward. Whether he gets nominated for a Rising Star is, for mine, probably neither here nor there. The football world recognise him as a talent.
  24. Do we need a gun full forward or a midfield that enables a decent forward to run on to the lead? I still suspect that it's the latter. Whether you're a fan or not, Weid's best games have been when players up the field have honoured the lead. Funnily enough, that's the case with most forwards. As for Jeremy Cameron, I'd argue that he's struggled with a GWS team fluffing about and it would be no different if he came to us. That would probably be a similar scenario if we went for Ben Brown. And we're not getting Daniher nor should we want him. At the very least we need a dead-eye [censored]. Not someone who is going to exacerbate the issue of not capitalizing on multiple forward entries. The hope, for mine, is that Petty overcomes OP (?) as he gets to contests and brings the ball to ground. If not, Dazzle mentioned Fogarty and I think he'd be a player to compliment Weid as the leading forward. Now, as much as I hate Hawthorn, whenever I think of an effective forward structure, I still think about their Premiership teams where great midfield ball users and a strong system enabled their forward to open up space. All of a sudden, mediocre forwards become very good forwards as they know what to expect. Still, if we are going to have a red hot go, I'd still prefer chucking money at a Josh Kelly type. Harder said than done but that's when I think we'd see a difference going forward (pardon the [censored] pun).
  25. You're being exceptionally greedy there BBO. There's more suffering to be had. That's a whole lot of self - flagellation or so I've been told
