And by shopping, centre I mean tucked in the basement of Dandy Plaza. He's going to love Mallop St. -

I'll remember him as a shopping centre level photographer who dabbled in football. -

I remember going to matches where we were routinely smashed...but there was always Robbie. To be so astonishingly good in such a dark period is testament to what a champion he was. -

A towering icon of the MFC. I simply don't want to believe this. -

Having heard him interviewed, it's 999990 more than he's ever counted to. -

Will he be able to play against us or will it be too traumatic? I'd expect him to sit it out on doctors advice. -

I can't answer for Praha in relation to number three but many have said that Im like a young Magnum PI. -

What I have trouble getting my head around is the pronouncement by the doc that he must leave. Surely wherever he goes its the same pressure cooker environment of an AFL club. You could argue that he's placed himself under more pressure by selecting a club that sees itself as a Premiership contender. -

I was going to say that I stand corrected Whispering but I'm not sure. This was utter shite from start to finish. It was a series of psychobabble quotes designed to defend why the top end talent go to top of the ladder clubs. -

I have just listened to the turkey who is President of the AFLPA. I kid you not, it was, like listening to Sir Humphrey Appleby including, the phrase 'in the fullness of time'. I haven't heard such double speaking shite in a while. -
The cynic in me wonders whether he'll get to Hawthorn on a relatively reduced contract which will allow Evans to use that as a reason for a lesser pick. I actually think we are getting to the stage where supporters of at least three or four clubs will feel completely disenfranchised. We now have a horrible, untenable situation where, before the season even starts, only four, possibly five teams out of 18 can win it. And those that may replace them are recent constructs created by the AFL. Ludicrous. Go Dees.

You've got to love Robbo's complete objectivity. -
I'm not entirely sure that they care tbh. What I will say, (and not for the first time, I know) is that Mark Evans is an overly suntanned, Hawthorn loving, smug ponce who has put away any sense of impartiality as he imparts his wishes upon the AFL commission.

If Hird does appeal surely that's the end for his coaching gig. Perhaps he is going to fund the appeal with his payout. -
Melbourne considering shifting its base to MCG
Return to Glory replied to M_9's topic in Melbourne Demons
You do have a point but, for mine, it's about the perception that we are not going to be second class citizens. Same with trading with Geelong re Clark. Probably just my frustration at where we are. -

Have a great feeling about Brayshaw. Petracca has all the focus but I think the hype may be out of kilter slightly. -

Maybe so Old Dee but for too long it's felt like we've invited strangers to our house and somehow we're sleeping in the spare bedroom with the shite mattress. -

Geelong can spare us the trade of offcuts for a bloke who can tear opposition apart. It's as if we should be glad that they would even consider offering up Varcoe. You want something, then give us something of equal worth back.
