Rye. There's no internet there.

And there folks is the definition of insanity.

It's a shitsandwich but put Salem, Frost, Kent and Petracca in that line up and it's not all doom and gloom. In the meantime, I'm just taking the hose out to the car.

Relax, we've got this

How does that Montagna get 15 possies on his own 20 minutes into the second?

National Under 18 Championships - 2015
Return to Glory replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Kurt Mutimer, Vic Country, is playing down back in the Championships at present. Had a little to do with him. For mine, definitely comes under notice as a late pick. Plenty of talent but flies under the radar. Great kid and I'll be ken to see how he performs today against SA. -

Are we seeing Geelongs culture crumbling?

I'm already hearing that Mitch Clarke's ' Saturday night - Mallop Street, Geelong' in Sovereign Hill sepia went for a song on ebay. If that's any indication. -
Kent has a fair bit of upside based on a couple of the cameos this season.

We could do a hell of a lot worse than Robinson. Gets a lot of the ball and is as hard as a cats head. Sure, he comes with a parole officer but I'd welcome both.
-
There are several in the mix but what I will say is talk of Wright not having as much appetite for the contest as McCartin is off the mark.

People have made very early judgements on Toumpas in comparison to bash/ crash players. That's not what he is. I suspect he'll spend more time on a half forward flank this year with Salem on the other and start to show a bit. For mine, he may never be suited to a midfield role (in the Swallow/ Mitchell mould) but rather, be the bloke who can spot up forward targets as the second last link in the chain. You only had to watch the GF to see how critical it was to not just enter the 50 but do so with precision. On that, Hogan is a mobile forward as is Iron Gloves Dawes and for that reason I'd seriously look at Wright as the stay at home forward. We will now have some talent underfoot with Garlett, JKH, Salem and perhaps Toumpas.

It does have that feel about it, doesn't it Steve. On the other hand, I suspect Brayshaw will be a better player than Petracca where we need help - the engine room. So I think we,can count on getting one right.

Key word is 'usually' BBO. And that may be generous. Notice the generous use of self deprecation.

GOODBYE MR. CHIP FRAWLEY
Return to Glory replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
DaleDee, if you insist on providing posts with a degree of substance I'll have the moderators on to you quicker than you can say free agency. Best you don't post again. Unbelievable. -
Hey, no dramas. The President of the AFL Players Association says free agency is working.

GOODBYE MITCH CLARK
Return to Glory replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm going to go into work on Monday armed with a list of people I hold in contempt and with Doctors note in hand demand they be removed from my sight pronto. -

But to his credit, a fair understanding of the work of Marilyn Chambers.
