My guess on this is that it was Green , Rivers , Moloney , Bailey, etc that wanted Connolly out. These guys are all now working elsewhere-and liked to train their own way. Connolly and Schwab have cleared the decks of senior players who thought they could call the shots off-field. Jnr McDonald may have involved himself in politics as well. I've heard rumours his whole family are down on us for retiring him at 34. I was at a golf course around that time and a few ex-players were there for a function . CC spoke and talked about re-uniting old players/members from the 80's to re-build the club off-field then on. There are always rats within any organisation when things go badly. I trust the 80's guys like CC over the new breed. The snipers who have fed Caro and undermined CS and CC must be smoked out ,given a fair hearing, then shot at dawn.

The players needed a flogging. Norm Smith couldn't survive 186. Get real about Bailey. He inherited some good work from Craig . Why would CC be an incompetent? He played for this club ,with some distinction ,and has coached at AFL level. Neeld is here for the long haul-suck it up.

All right-at the risk of sounding anti-bike, why on earth do cyclists ride two abreast on Beach Rd? Why are they on it at all? There is a path running along the beach that goes from the city to Mordialloc.Today I couldn't drive a car on Beach rd because it was given over to cyclists. Drivers pay for that road. Do Cyclists think they are the guys from CHiPS? I love riding my bike but I use the remnants of my brain about it. FFS-Beach Rd is a dumb place to ride-bendy and switching from 1 to 2 lanes depending on parked cars. Cyclists act as if they own it and frequently get hit. I believe bikers should be forced off it and/or made to pay a registration fee for the use of it. The damage to my car is getting out of hand.

Wattsy playing every game as a 17 year old would have turned the whole competition on its head. The AFL know this is their strongest bit of evidence. In fact, the whole of season 2009 we were actually so good that we had to spend most of our time figuring out ways to lose-so we could get better .If that makes sense. The Jyndabyne/Volvo conference is a case in point. Robbo knew it, Caro knew it .Clothier knows it . We should have murdered Sydney that day and gone on to win the 2012 flag . Everyone knows Cale Morton can towel up Adam Goodes without even trying.

I was talking about music Stuie . Why do you have to reduce everything down to the level of gay insults , lesbians etc And I'm not allowed on school camp any more since the intervention order. Sorry to offend your music tastes-I obviously struck a raw nerve. FWIW I'm into disco,which is on the verge of a comeback.I just know it is. See , you accuse me of not talking about footy and the thread topic is actually about what crappy song we should tell the AFL to play for us to jazz up the coverage . Have you got any suggestions? Maybe something along the lines of footy ,footy something ,win ,tough ,footy .Staying focused ,Something like that.

Sellars and Dawes worry me as well. We cant carry too many unco talls. I think I mentioned on here that we went too hard on getting Dawes. Hopefully these big guys prove me wrong , and can display some high quality skills. Maybe I have been spoilt by seeing Jimmy followed by Jeff White but the rucking/marking role is so important these days .

More and more its looking like a media fiasco agreed upon by all parties (except us) to keep AFL in the papers during cricket season .Other clubs are happy to watch us cop flack,with very few coming out to support in the media. In the end we will be exonerated and the AFL will tighten the rules that encourage the bottom few to play their best available teams each week ,regardless of age ,ladder position ,niggles etc. With free agency now in place and the New Fake teams established ,there will be little incentive to rest older players and hunt for draft concessions . Sydney have proven that mature aged players can do the job given a good environment .(and a bigger salary cap) The main thing for the AFL is that it will want to make the game appear as clean as possible . I dont believe we tried to tarnish the game either-we were just really inconsistent . Paul Roos just got a shock when we ended his career that day on the G. We will not go down just because "On the Couch" and our Kero ,Robbo,Brock and other hacks have a gripe with us.
