  1. He was left naked as a newborn child atop Mt Sparta and survived. He was then deemed fit and had his Demonisation ceremony in the presence of David Schwartz and Rodney Grinter. He was locked in a cage and fed raw meat . He was trained to destroy Ollie Vines at will as a cub. He had his face prepared by Wojincki as a Jnr He joined the fray and tasted only defeat. He became the saviour... The anointed one .... The Avenger of all Demons. Ahem...Sorry ,got carried away there a tad..
  2. And you make up rubbish threads that you want to MC like John Laws. Fact is-you've made up news. He's not sacked at this point in time. He may well be,but you don't know that. So this is rubbish.
  3. Or you would have watched Lion King too many times to give a sh#t anymore.
  4. H'es not sacked-so you should change your title Stuie. And there are parallels to Beiber as he is in trouble with the hierarchy of the Gold Coast on the very same day . So if me and bing181 wanna talk Beiber we will.
  5. Yes we all hope Jordie suddenly learns to kick properly but the best we can hope is that he can become the best blanket man in the AFL behind Crowley.
  6. I dont see any statement from the Beiber Coast. If they keep him on the list it is a disgrace. The kids parents will be wanting answers. Never liked him.Or anyone that's ever been at the Hawks for that matter.
  7. That is a beautiful avatar Rock'n'Roll, and a nice sentiment for Nev.
  8. Looks like there are a few happy faces which is nice to see. Neeld was such a grouch all the time and had zero personality which must have made for a terrible workplace.
  9. Move on Darren. Is there a club you haven't slagged? Years of free booze ahead of you at three clubs if you can try to be graceful.
  10. A number of times.
  11. I cant believe you would betray a confidence like that . My thing for Caro was supposed to be a dirty little secret . Now I will need a new one.
  12. I'm surprised too KC. What I saw of Best was all class. Fast long runs resulting in goals. Obviously a gun sportsman to Captain South Melbourne CC as well. Sorry but Casey CC does not exist in my mind.
  13. Sweet. might be the kick he needs.
  14. I've been reading "The Wolf Of Wall Street" which will be a big Scorcese film soon. Epic tale of excess.Quick, fun read. Also read a book about a Banking guru from the 18th Century named Law called "Moneymaker".Extremely interesting book about banking, markets, money and power also. Both are true tales. Anyone else got any suggested books. There must be many of us out there who don't mind reading complete twaddle and finding the odd bit of gold .
  15. I think a "Storm in a teacup" button and a "you really hurt my feelings" button are in order. To balance it out ,perhaps a "Man up" button . we also need to have "racist connotations" ,"deliberately racist" and "unintentionally racist" for those that like to pull the race card early. Also, I have personally noted a "Shut your Face Biffen" button would be useful for many . Also a "what the F%#k are you on about WYL" button ,"keep it clean"for BBO etc etc.
  16. The team should be unchanged. Steve Smith should be rolling the arm over as should Clarke if his back is right. Every time we pick a spinner based on expectation or to "pressure "Lyon it backfires. Lyon seems to have confidence in himself now to be able to restrict runs . If Watto lays off the cake and beer he may be able to bowl. Let these batting all-rounders take some load off Harris. With Mitch Johnson-you dont stop a train .Let him bowl until he is finished. Pick Ahmed if and when he gets a big bag in Shield cricket. I would have Agar ahead of him anyway as he is a proven test performer, gets bounce, can bat, field and irritates the Poms with his niceness.
  17. Please don't leap too high-it may cause controversy. I was thinking of going myself but I don't know whether to wear the tattered wife beater singlet in blue or red. Might leave my skinny jeans at home. look forward to hearing "the vibe".
  18. They are related according to Johnathon. There was also mention of Ben Wardill being a mate who visited Trott at Kew asylum. There was a Wardill who played for Melbourne back in the day.
  19. Harry Trott suffered mental seizures that may well been epilepsy or alcoholic in origin. He was in the prime of his career at 31-nearly the same age as his distant relative. He was Captain of Australia at the time ,having returned victorious from an ashes tour . He was born in Collingwood ,played for South Melbourne ,Victoria and Australia. He recovered from a long stint at Kew to captain his state again. His story is extremely sad. There was an oval named in his honour in Albert Park which has since been removed by parks Vic. There was also one named after him in Bendigo-where he played after his illness.
  20. For the history buffs-this is not the first time a Trott has walked away from test cricket in his prime due to mental stress. Can anyone name the other time ,player, circumstances etc.
  21. "Keato-the real story" part 3 tonight. Will be funny to watch. Smooth bastard. Abbott would have had his arse served to him by Keating in no time.
  22. Man is not a camel passing through the eye of a needle. One often needs a bracing ale to fight the evils of this world.Often.
  23. Lucky you weren't mentioned on here in the portly category. The guy who copped it here for carrying a bit had cancer drugs as an excuse. I'm afraid "all the Shiraz stocks are being drunk by the Chinese nouveau riche and there will be none left for me" is not an excuse anymore.
  24. Bringing in the Sheep Dear Lord. What a unifying presence you are for us all.
