  1. Obviously not an exhaustive list but Goody named Woewodin, Laurie and Harmes as potential options to come in this week.
  2. Correct. Still wouldn't be surprised.
  3. Nobody said miraculous recovery, nice strawman though. Don't think its unreasonable to suggest that time off legs would be beneficial for someone with a foot injury, particularly with the loads and forces that go through it during high intensty sport. I don't know the details of his injury and perhaps he isn't at risk of exacerbating it, hence why I said it could be a dumb suggestion. And now that it's been reported on here that it's a routine check up, and not an exacerbation or new injury, we can look forward to him playing.
  4. Wouldn't surprise if he is Tassies inaugural coach.
  5. Afl website saying out indefinitely and will be sidelined for several weeks. They seem to be using the injury update video as the source of that information. Dees reveal extent of hammy injury to star midfielder - https://www.afl.com.au/news/932148 Apologies if this has already been posted
  6. Hence it could be dumb, but we didn't manage our players well last year and it left us limping into the finals and out in straight sets.
  7. This might be a dumb idea, but this could be a good time to rest him until after the bye and get him good to go for the back half of the season. We need him at his best.
  8. Fritta also had a scan today according to reporters at the Grundy interview. Perhaps just ongoing management/assessment as we know he's been carrying something for the entire season. Was on light duties at training which is probably the norm for him at the moment.
  9. Who comes in for the suspended Hunter? Unlikely we challenge as he shapes for a bump before going for the ball.
  10. Can't see us in with a shot now that freo are improving. They may yet make finals and we could end up with two picks between 10 - 18. Giants are pretty much certain to gave 2 x top 10 picks. Gold Coast might be the better bet for a trading partner.
  11. Can't imagine this being the case but would certainly add another layer to the freo death ride.
  12. How I long for the day when Geelong are West Coast levels of bad.
  13. We don't bat that deep in our midfield stocks unfortunately. Dunstan injured, Harmes nqr, Sparrow limited, Laurie unproven. With Bowey possibly out with a cald, we probably need Brayshaw down back. I think Harmes and Sparrow come in and hope they provide more defensive midfield pressure. Petracca is going to have to spend most of the game in the midfield along with Viney. I like Laurie's skill set so maybe he gets an opportunity?
  14. I didn't get to watch the full game but the quarter and a bit I saw he looked really strong and took 3 intercept marks in the space of 10 minutes or so. Is coming along nicely after a limited preseason.
  15. A positive for the game is we only played 1 quarter and only lost by 4 points. Negatives are the other 3 quarters.
  16. And finished with 22 disposals, 1 goal 2 and our second most clearances. Probably the main driver of our comeback in the third and the only one that looked like he could carry the team to victory. I'll concede Gawn didn't play a great game. I just fail to see who played any better. Most of our team was rubbish tonight, I don't know why I'm bothering arguing semantics about who was slightly less poor than the others.
  17. Perhaps, though he was our 3rd highest for clearances behing trac and Oliver as our other mids weren't getting it done. Was a huge part of our momentum in the 3rd in my view. Got smashed all night and still provided a better target for us down the flank and wings than our other talls. He's not going to clunk contested marks in these conditions. Most of our players were poor tonight to be honest, perhaps an argument could be made for Hunter to be in there.
  18. Not wanting to scapegoat these players but think Chandler, McVee and JvR could all do with a spell.
  19. Kenny dancing like he's won the flag. Winners are grinners I guess. Hope we get a shot at them again.
  20. 6. Petracca (wasn't his best game but we only looked competent when he was around the ball) 5. Rivers 4. May 3. Oliver 2. Gawn 1. Not sure, Hibberd or Salem I guess.
