I suspect it would not only be a VFL/AFL record - but surely he would be giving the world record a nudge for professional sport coaches/managers.
My Demon mates don't call him Buckley anymore. We just imitate the 'deeping' sound a truck makes when it's reversing. We all know to whom we are referring.
I suspect Buckley is in record breaking territory. Has any coach in the history of the game taken their side backwards over successive six seasons? Anyone got the stat?
Yep . . . Jack was always reasonable one-on-one in an open forward line with minimal pressure. The key learning from this is that the Dorkers won't be playing in this year's Grand Final.
The guy demonstrated time and time and time again in his post-playing career that he has incredibly poor judgement. Hird demonstrated consistently that he only cares about Hird. Anything he says about footy must be taken with several grains of salt . . . not to be trusted because just lurking below the surface is self interest. His post-footy record is not in dispute.
at least with Busse, you pretty much knew what you were going to get. the current generation of players get off lightly by comparison.
they were great days. and mondays (or was it tuesday?) nights were a highlight.
I'd bring back Neil Busse, march 'em in on Monday night and one-by-one . . . Bang. See ya in three weeks Son. Worked much better than the silly cr*p we've been delivered for the last 20 years.
