Can't see it unless Sydney or Adelaide spring a couple of surprises
-
Yes he would very good ball user, and flourished in the seniors at East Freo after the Championships

Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)

And who won a ground ball clearance fed off and got the ball quickly on his non preferred straight to a teammate inside 50m Mongrel off the boot but awareness of getting the ball forward as quickly as possible -
Poll: Who do you want with our first two picks?
Pennant St Dee replied to furious d's topic in Melbourne Demons
I actually think looking at the needs of those sides between our pick#3 & #10, one of those will be available at 10 -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Pennant St Dee replied to Tinks's topic in Melbourne Demons
Had not heard that, I'm aware May and Martin don't get on but not May and Bennell -
I'm hoping Prodee we hold the pick till draft night, to see who slides, there's always one. I'm certainly not in favour of Pickett at 10. I see picks possibly going 1. Rowell Suns 2. Anderson Suns 3. Jackson Dees 4. Young/Ash GWS 5. Green GWS matching Sydney's bid 6. Flanders Swans 7. Mcasey/Ash/Young Crows 8. Robertson Freo 9. Stephens/Ash/Young Freo 10. Henry Freo matchin Blues bid 11. Kemp/Serong Blues 12. Who do we take from the possible slider if it's Serong Ash or Young there's no question we take them. Stephens whilst outside fills another need as a Gaff type. Kemp I like and I'd take him at this pick but if we're foucussed on others I think the Cats will look at jumping ahead of the Hawks and be open to a live trade, which could be worth looking at. I've seen a fair bit of Elijah Taylor and really rate him, with plenty if upside. I think he, Jeremy Sharp or Trent Rivers could be available at 28. With Sharp the least likely I've seen a fair bit of them all and whilst they are all WA boys, it's where I live so see these boys the most and think they can fill the half back flank or small forward we need and I'd be inclined to target whichever one (position) we don't take at pick 10

Loved Finey, could be abrupt at times, but was a footy lover and had an interest in lower level footy
-
As painful as Dwayne may be, try living in WA not supporting the Eagles and having to listen to any media here. Sweet Jesus, Stalinist Russia and Nazi Germany have nothing on them
-
Hope we hold it, speaking to a few in recruiting and development in WA word is top 6 to 10 in this draft are rated a lot higher than the next 20-25 who they still feel are ahead of next seasons batch. I think the needs basis of the clubs in front of us will see one of Ash/Young (i expect GWS to take either at 4), Kemp, Serong or Stephens to be there at 10. I'm happy to take a Jeremy Sharp or Elijah Taylor with 28
-
Freo will have 3 picks in a row they will 7.Robertson 8. Stephens/Ash 9. Match Carlton's bid on Henry
-
Go and grab a beer your glass is half empty
-
Elijah Taylor should still be there pick #28 unless we look at upgrading in the 20s throwing in Blues 4th rounder
-
Agree, Chaser I think GWS are the most likely to take Young if we don't. Crows I'm not sure on they need some outside run like we do and another small forward to replace Betts/Cameron Sydney IMO will take Flanders as a big mid after bidding for Green Freo will take Robertson if Jackson is gone IMO

Poor comment on a deceased person

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Pennant St Dee replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
He's better than Natanui below his knees, more of a footy brain and better by hand and foot. He doesn't have Natanuis leap or explosiveness but I see a player with more mobility who covers more ground and can actually take contested marks on regular occasions. Contested marking will be what is attracting us I think -
Seen him earlier in the year against Subi, heavily rotated between forward and Ruck, and got plenty of the footy, not sure on his kicking though because he looked to bring the outsiders into the game, which he did by hand frequently He was clearly very athletic and raw, but I'll be honest away from TV and a few games I haven't seen enough of him to say we must take him. I'm going to have to trust Taylor's expertise if he decides to take him at 3. I do know both WA clubs rate him very highly and both would have taken him with their first pick if he was available and that has been the talk over here for the entire season. I think we're getting a potentially very good player, but our need for outside ball users has me quesioning if I'd take him at 3.
-
I'm saying Young or Jackson at 3, that's why I have them together in both scenarios Robertson could go anywhere from 7 to 15. If Freo get a shot at Jackson with their first pick they will take him all depends on them having to make a bid on Henry before pick 10. If they do then they won't be able to get Robertson and I think he could slide to Hawks or Geelong
-
I see it in the younger generation OD, although I must say I think we see and hear of it more often with social media providing a platform for cowards. It was always there before just we didn't see it reported as much and people spoke against it a lot less because unfortunately it was accepted in certain circles
-
No Im with you DD 3 & 8 Jackson/Young & Robertson/Kemp looks good 3, 14 & 17 Jackson/Young, Robertson/Weightman/Bergman & Sharp also looks good
-
Deven Robertson (Drafted by Brisbane)
Pennant St Dee replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
yes we have DD, but we've also spoken to Jackson, Sharp, Henry, Rivers, Taylor, Garcia and Sokol through the year. Not sure of recent talks but Id safely say Sharp, Taylor and Rivers have not been revisited since we traded pick 22 away Garcia and Sokol will be Pick 97, PSD candidates Freo want all of the other 3, so we will continue to engage them because all are a chance at Pick 8 Pick 3 is fascinating because both Freo and GWS want Jackson which I believe is where the talk is coming from. Before live trading everyone pretty much knew in clubland who was likely to be going where in the top 10 to 12 with a week to go All changed now with ducks and drakes, so are these talks part of the rouse -
Agree with most of your podt OD, although I think it's slowly improving but it's going to always be there unfortunately.
-
I won't be happy Chaser if we take Pickett over any of Taylor, Weightman, Henry or Bergman
-
I'll know you have eaten it when I view other threads through the season. And my post isn't just direct towards you
-
Should have said nothing than, based on that. All you've done is assumed with no idea at all Par for course by so many who just like to see the negative in our players To nice DD, I'm over Deelanders continually potting the club and players

As i said we'll revisit in a year or 2, just like Brissy who only won 5 games in 2018
