  1. What it shows is too many haven’t learned from their own previous mistakes of mouthing off (and in some cases pure bile) only to end up with egg on their faces, but they will continue to do the same
  2. Pretty much, he’s playing a role and I think a decent bag will come if he learns to handle the pressure
  3. Or kept him away from being second man in on Tmac and the resting ruc???
  4. And generally it’s the same usual suspects calling for Weid to be dropped and/or traded. We got 3 goals last night directly from Weid vs Andrews in contests and bringing the ball to ground
  5. Yes you’re correct Harmes and Melksham were rotating with each other first half. Vineys ferocity and creating lanes for teammates at stoppages gets him back in when ready. Viney and Langdon the only changes to the 22 for mine
  6. He spent the second half pressuring Mcluggage and was within striking distance of him every time he was near, in possession of or providing options for the pill. Absolutely shut down their ability to transition through him
  7. You look at stats, is that because you don’t know what you’re looking at, explain Melkshams role on Mclugage tonight, explain the 3 goals we got from Sam contesting against Andrews
  8. 6. Trac 5.Oliver 4.Gawn 3.Spargo 2.Rivers 1.Tmac
  9. A commitment to excellence and Just win baby
  10. Nick Cox is also due a nomination, but hopefully Trent gets the nod this week
  11. I can, plenty of lazy posters and others who just review stats
  12. He wasn’t actually to bad in the first half, he was hitting the contest breaking packs and bringing the ball to ground. His first half was very much a nearly game. I was thinking he’s close to taking a few clunks here and getting some confidence
  13. Yes Redleg Harmes was excellent thought the Demonland whipping boy Melksham did some good work on Macrae the first half
  14. 6. Clarrie 5. Harmes 4. Lever 3. Trac 2. Rivers 1. Brayshaw
  15. Great team performance, will put my hand up as one who thought it was more important to tag the outsiders as opposed to cutting off the source. Really good move cutting Libba out and anyone who uses Brayshaws stats to judge his performance doesn’t know what they are talking about
  16. I don’t agree with this, in terms of hedging bets because we’ve been at our best when losing the clearances but providing immediate heat and pressure to the ball carrier. Libba feeds it out and that is where he does the damage, but it’s not as damaging as the players who are setting up entries by foot once it gets outside. Shut down Macrae and give him no room so even if he gets it every disposal is under pressure. Same with Bont and Daniel Just my opinion
  17. I’d like us to go with the high pressure game across the ground. I’m undecided on dropping Frisch or Weid and going with two permanent talls because IMO Frisch plays as a tall because he offers minimal pressure at ground level. Max and Jacko rotate as the other big option forward when not on the ball Salem comes in for Jetta and if he’s not right I’d bring Lockhart in Viney and Sparrow would be great but not sure Jack will get up though B. Lever. Petty Hibberd HB. Rivers May Salem C. Langdon Oliver Brayshaw HF. Sparrow Weid Jackson F. Pickett Trac Spargo R. Gawn, Trac, Viney I/C. Jordon, Nibbler, Harmes, Hunt Sub. Fritsch
  18. Mark it down as it happens every year, we’ll win at least. two of Dogs x 2, Lions, Port, Eagles and will drop one of the W’s you have penciled in. Plenty to work on from Saturday and there will be more identified issues from the Brissy and Dogs games, but you’re better getting exposed to your flaws now. I actually like that we finish with 3 really tough games in our last 4.
  19. I watched Aquila’s vs Wesley college in PSA Saturday expecting to get a look at Taj Woewodin, but he was playing colts for East Freo where he was named amongst the best players. Chad Warner’s brother was absolutely dominant player on the ground for Aquinas. Ball use was exceptional, decision making was very good and ability to move through traffic also very good. Wesleys ruckman Riley Sprigg was the best big man on the ground could be a late pick although another with the choice between cricket and footy. Nice soft hands for a ruckman and disposal is good for a big man. I think would develop well under AFL standard conditioning coach
  20. Clark is and whilst a Guildford Grammar boy he’s actually from down Fremantle way Menegola is also a Freo CBC boy Quintan Narkle Wesley College boy
  21. I believe the Cats, no new information heard it late last year from someone who is usually on the money with regard to Freo. As we know with the Langdon deal these things are usually done well in advance
  22. He’s going to be involved somewhat in the Cerra returning to Victoria deal I believe
  23. Not sure haven’t seen him this season. Was hoping to watch him but games conflict with my boy who’s a Yr 10 and attending a different school
  24. Shane is coaching at North Freo in A Grade ammos, doing some academy work with winning edge and is one of the development coaches at Wesley College in Perth. Interesting PSA fixture this weekend where Wesley host Aquila’s College where Taj plays
  25. 6.Clarrie 5.Lever 4.Langdon 3. Salem 2. May 1.Jordon
