  1. I don’t love him, he’s benefitted from our geographic isolation, which made it very easy for him to adopt this policy. It’s not the easiest of states to get into with only the main arterial roads to worry about. If you want to take your chances coming in the back tracks, you better hope you don’t break down or you have plenty of back up fuel and water. He was an odds on 1 term Premier until Covid
  2. Subiaco Oval is now a school football oval. The stands are all gone and only the old entry gates remain. Optus will be fine if required it’s only week 1 with 4 games where they will spread them across Thursday through Sunday
  3. Wouldn’t be surprised if the AFL are in discussion with McGowan and the WA government for a 4 week finals hub in Perth, the way things are panning out, 7 day quarantine for all 8 teams during the pre finals bye. TV and gate revenue to recoup some lost funds over the last 2 seasons. Still a lot at risk if it gets into WA
  4. I get that, and if everything is equal I want nothing more than to see the boys at the last day in September at the G, but this is a unique beast and be it Optus, Adelaide Oval wherever I want to see the showpiece game in front of a full house and the players able to share the moment with supporters and go through all the emotions that past Premiership players have doing a lap of honour in front of a crowd
  5. Yeah let’s plan to play the show piece game in front of an empty stadium with no atmosphere and not plan to play it in front of a full house just in case the call a snap lockdown (because they’ve done it 3 times in 18 months), I think I know what the players involved would prefer
  6. Very good post
  7. Yes, I have seen them do it many times before. The cliff is coming for them but they still have plenty of talent to do a number on teams
  8. There’s no other supporter base anything like them. They are full of self entitlement and believe the world is against them. A lot of their fans have absolutely no idea about the game. One thing I will give the Dockers fans is that generally they have an understanding of the game with so many of them coming from East and South Freo in the WAFL days
  9. Yes and if people are complaining on missing the opportunity to get to a GF because they couldn’t get the Pfizer jab. That’s the choice they make and every choice we make in life has some form of consequence.
  10. In most counties (except Kilkenny where it’s Hurling only) you would alternate between Football and Hurling each week
  11. I am originally, immigrated with my parents in 1980 when I was 8. I also lived there for a period in the 90s
  12. There were 12 teams and you had to make top 4, so taking the WW2 interruption into account, it’s an even more impressive record
  13. Would have been DJ Carey from Kilkenny, I would guess
  14. Darren is a fireman now, last I heard
  15. Think we won 10 between 38 and 64 or similar
  16. But apparently of the 16 free kicks the Suns got in the game yesterday, every second one of Viney’s 22 possessions led to 7 holding the ball free kicks ???
  17. No chance, They will respond this week after letting Hurn down and are under the microscope in WA big time. We need to respond to what they throw at us early and be switched on. We know they will play with 3 talls inside 50. Our forward pressure if maintained from yesterday should see us create plenty of opportunities as this is a weakness in their defensive set up
  18. Just a typical Clint Bizkit post full of negativity. You weren’t expecting such a win in your pre game posts, but even after a 98 point win, still not happy FFS, might be time to come clean that you don’t follow us
  19. With it now looking like Monday night, hopefully we get some kore seats than usual
  20. Haven't heard anything either mate
  21. Why would you speak to the club. Wouldn’t it have been better to be a regular Demonland Chicken Little and run with the media’s unconfirmed report as gospel. You could have accused the club of a) Being irrelevant b) Bowing to the AFL c) Putting money before top 4 chances d) Stuffing the season up all together No doubt none of these posters will ever jump at shadows again
  22. Potentially why Bowey has been brought in, as a second transition option from back half turnovers
  23. Yes I was agreeing with you
  24. Tigers are staying at Joondalup resort and travelling in their own little bubble to and from West Perth’s ground at Arena Joondalup to train each day. Hardly quarantine like those returning from overseas are enduring
