Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
They are fitter and will start the season well, however they lack depth in the midfield and whilst they have some good kids coming through they will tire IMO along with the older players like Yeo, Shuey, McGovern and Darling who struggle to get through seasons without wear and tear injury

TRAINING: Wednesday 1st February 2023
Thanks Picket for the report, although I had to pick myself up off the floor upon reading positive commentary directed towards Spargo

Pre-season IntensityÂ
Just happy we managed to get to 9 wins in 2020 and Goody kept his job for 2021
-
2023 Injury List
Nothing helps them, they only see the negative

TRAINING: Wednesday 18th January 2023
I actually think Sparrow has a big future with us because he will leave no stone unturned to improve and get the most out of himself. Coaches love players with those traits at any level

Cheers to all the track watchers on the reports

Daisy Pearce calls time on a stellar career
Thanks Daisy for your service onfield and off whilst at the club. You’re a legend of the game and no doubt will be deservedly inducted into the HOF. You have been a breath of fresh air in the commentary box and I wish you and your family all the best in the next chapter of your life

THE 2023 NATIONAL DRAFT JACKPOTÂ
Plenty of talls in this draft, be interesting to see if we go with a tall defender with 1 of those first 4 picks, which I think we will to allow for development over a few seasons

Haven’t heard anything Red, but I have only just returned from a month overseas. I could be mistaken but last I heard Rivers had a partner in Melbourne

Yes, they have the lifestyle draw card specifically for Vic country boys. However I was more referring to the comment of them holding onto their players

Gawn vs Cox
Cox was an absolute gun and need to consider a few things with him a) From 2011-14 Natanui was their main ruckman, which effects Coxy’s stats b) We have a really good midfield, but it’s nowhere near what Cox had till 2007 with Judd, Cousins and Kerr, whilst they were absolutely A graders Coxy gave them first use most times with his tapwork. c) I don’t think for his hit out dominance that Max gives us as many first looks Just my opinion

They have the same issues as everyone else, Tim Kelly and Clarke two WA boys who they lost

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Aiden O’Driscoll has pace, endurance, skills, awareness and impacts the scoreboard. My only concern is potential flight risk, very close knit family

Best 44 for West Coast
No surprise because he can play
-
Best 44 for Western
I reckon with Jones and Darcy their defence improves, issue for them is they don’t defend well enough in their forward half
-
Best 44 for West Coast
We get them early enough when they will be up and about, they will be better than last season and certainly better when they put a line through Nic Nat and move on. I expect them to win between 5-8 games and be competitive for the first half of the season but fall away as the younger players tire and the older bodies get sore
-
TRAINING: Wednesday 14th December 2022
Gawn will go back to his predominant 2018 role and play a kick behind the play, I expect increased forward pressure and forcing opposition to kick long down the line or to take the game on with handball or risky kicks into the corridor. I expect Grundy to play forward of centre

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Not sure, highly likely some link given they are both Broome boys

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
A Smokey to watch rise from WA is Jett Sibosado who comes from Broome, he’s been boarding at Scotch College for last 4 years and is a good talent. Played in the last 2 Alcock Cup winning seasons for Scotch as a Yr 10 and 11. Colts player at Claremont around the 182cm 70kg mark. Good skills, composed in traffic and has a tendency to sit on opposition players heads. Freo Next Gen player

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
We played Peel pre season and early season and was really impressed with his run and spread to continually be in chains of movement. He then faded a little during the season but I saw him again later and he dominated in a fashion similar to Tom Mitchell just seemed to be everywhere around the ball and in follow up transition, but his disposal let’s him down a little He had a really good finals series on what I saw, but that wasn’t live. Endurance IMO really developed during the season and if he takes that up another level along with his size, burst from stoppages, ability to find the footy he will be a decent player who attracts attention. I think he will need to clean up his foot skills to go in the first two rounds
