  1. Sensible post with a long term view as opposed to many who think if we don’t win it in 2024 that’s it for a decade
  2. Stop talking logic, the naysayers want to feel important. These things are so hard to win, we’ve given ourselves good chances the last two seasons. Overload and wear and tear injuries hit us in 2022 and we learned from that with our player/load management in 2023 to give ourselves a good shot at it. What happened to Petty and Melksham really hurt us heading into finals and there was nothing we could do about that. The significance of those two missing out to our forward structure can not be understated especially against Collingwood and tying up Moore but such is life. Fagan and Hinkley would love 1 so posters are comparing Apples and oranges as usual
  3. Yet they have the last 3 years
  4. You can’t win, those calling for Oliver to be there to make a statement are the same who say words and statements in pre season means little, it’s all about peering on game day and in particular at the pointy end of the season
  5. You’ll find that would be very much tongue in cheek, well at least from Scotty Cummings. Our boys played together when the family moved back to Perth in 2022 and they speak fondly of Melbourne. They loved their time there and love getting back over there.
  6. Welcome aboard Caleb, here’s to a long and fruitful career
  7. Welcome aboard Koltyn, looking forward to watching you in the red and blue
  8. Yep agree he’s going to be a gun and whilst I don’t think they’re as bad as many think I’m also aware their potential to move up the ladder slightly next season is based on getting good seasons out of McGovern, Yeo, Darling, Barrass and Allen. 3 of those have one good season left in them. I really rate Hewitt and Ginbey is a really good culture maker with Long showing snippets of talent, but they really need to increase the amount of good quality young players coming through
  9. Curtin did his hammy in the Colts GF and played out the game, but he ain’t one of us so we welcome Caleb and Koltyn
  10. Ffs it’s been widely reported he wanted to be with family and there was logistical issues with family members travelling over from regional WA. We’re in the beginning of our harvest in WA which also would have played a part, but let’s let MFCSS override several legitimate reasons
  11. They get Scott Welch’s boy via FS next season. Looks fairly handy so wonder will they look at packaging some first rounders next year for a top pick before Welsh gets nominated or to target a ready made player like Petty

I suspect Clarko’s pitch is for an Eagles pick swap
  13. Not this close to the draft, Twomey is usually pretty accurate with his top 10
  14. As per Stiff Arms reply 8hrs
  15. My thoughts exactly re Petty
  16. You need to go via Perth to get to Esperance
  17. My thoughts are we’d have to get their F2 back. For this deal to happen you’d imagine Hawks have decided on Curtin over Watson and it will happen on the night if North take Duursma after Mckercher
  18. It says he flew to Perth, before catching a light plane to Esperance
  19. I don’t need to watch Tomlinson, I know plenty about Curtin, spent a lot of time working with him so I’ll back that.

Nigel Satyerley and property development will be their retention strategy as it was for Judd and Simpson
  21. Raw as a forward played there before the national championship this year in tandem with SVR. Could play there but not something he’s familiar with prior to this year
  22. Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Standard is okay, but salary cap kills it a little much bigger dollars in country footy Tim Kelly probably the last mature recruit to really make an impact. Jack Buller taken in this year’s mid season draft played 1 game with Sydney before getting injured
  23. Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
They will probably have Elijah Scoble Kaleb Dempster-Park and Jake Watson from their Colts side also coming into contention for the senior side
  24. There’s already Levi Ashcroft and one the Camporeale boys who will compromise the top end of next years draft
