Yes well done on big noting yourself, I hope they didn't hit it off as you have already outed her as someone who can't keep things to themselves. Thank christ it wasn't anything major the media would have picked up on

Has Matt Rosa signed up with Meth Coast, would be a good get is underated in their side, gut runs and provides a lot of options to his team mates by being able to find space. Gaff and Kerr are explosive and do the occassional hard gut running to provide options but Rosa does it all day, biggest problem would be trying to pry him away from one of the contenders who's window will be open for a few more years. Would take a fair bit of coin

The club was fractured when he arrived he is putting the pieces back together and moving on those who do not wish to give what it takes to get us where we want to be. To Brett while it ended badly this year time catches up with all of us and as it did with Greeny last year it can catch you quickly. For the service you gave the club previously thank you for your efforts. Best of luck to you in the future

Sue the point re loving families is general and I don't want to streotype any indigenous people the same way I believe you should not streotype western society. Everyone is different even the indigenous families differ. I choose not to work as a fly in fly out worker despite the monetary rewards. It would mean I am away from my children for 3 out of 4 weeks. Does that make a Fly in fly out worker different to an indigenous player who leaves his home to play AFL

Why your one who for the last few months has been calling for Neeld to be tough and drop those who don't tow the line. I'm not concerned if they don't like the hard work required to play then you know where the door is. The Freo players have bought in and look at them, the fans were calling for Lyons head earlier in the year. I say to Neeld stick with what you are trying to implement

I hope we're not shy come list trimming time
Pennant St Dee replied to Keepin up with the Joneses's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mark Hutchings had another strong game on the weekend for West Perth and will be given another chance, Kane Mitchell from Claremont continues to also show a lot -
This is not against you Demon Land 7 but I hate this crap, it is a cop out we all get homesick and lonely some of us just do what we have to for the benefit of our families, careers and our future

Don't agree with Strauss, has pit a hell of a lot of work in to get back as quick as he did! -
Another lesson learnt and part of the professionalism and end to risk taking. Many have spoken of the bad draft picks and mistakes throughout Demonland but I may have missed something but nobody mentions taking Jurrah over Rockliff, that has proved a mistake. All very well to say if LJ could have got on the field regularly he would have been a star, don't think he had the committment and dedication and that is not meant as a slight on Liam it is part of his background, which none of us can ever understand. I don't care if he plays again I just hope he sorts out his court matter and get on with his life. He was a freak of a footballer and left us with many memories on the highlight reel. I don't think Neeld and the FD will take any future risks recruiting players like this

Jack Darling ... Why? Oh Why? Oh Why?
Pennant St Dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Olisik give up the acid it is making you paranoid, you are blowing the Darling thing way out, as other have said there were a lot of other factors without conspiracy which resulted in Darling falling down the pecking order. -
Look we all know it's been a bad year but to say there have been no positives is insane. Neeld and the FD started the changes this year and it will continue through the off season. Those we we were unsure about who have not performed can be looked upon as positives, they will no longer clog the list and will be replaced by hungry kids or players from other lists. The days of getting a game at this club on reputation are gone, a very small culture change that should have happened years ago Pre season wont be such a shock this year so you know what your going to get when you rock up boys after your break and Neeld will not be kind to anyone turning up with a bad attitude or out of condition. From here on in after the cull this becomes his list and now the heat will be on Neeld
-
So Maloney can run out games and chase back as well as burst through packs, Lyon asked the same of Ryan Crowley who lost somewhere between 7-10kgs over the off season and has been a great run with player this year

Jack Darling ... Why? Oh Why? Oh Why?
Pennant St Dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ash Sampi, Andrew McDougall, Tony Notte don't worry they have had their bad picks as well showed some promise but never realised their potential, Sampi & McDougall both went in the first 5 picks -
Jack Darling ... Why? Oh Why? Oh Why?
Pennant St Dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
WTF no we didn't see him play were just guessing, but FFS get over it and while your at it Dusty Martin has been no better than Trenners this year don't fookin kid yourself, we will also see in a month or two what we get for Sculldogs picks. -
Black would have been an in betweener for the changing culture. He would have learnt from the likes of Lyon, Viney, Stinga & Stynes and still been around when Danners relied on his own foot soldiers who let him down towards the end. Black would have been a very good player at Melbourne, whilst not having Aker, Voss & Lappin with him he would have been part of an exceptional midfield with Woey & Trapper Black is an absolute pro and would have been good wherever he went

Training under the Bailey era
Pennant St Dee replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree totally boys make them play WAFL, SANFL, VFL while doing apprenticeships, uni or whatever they need to do to pay the bills, then if at 20/21 they get the chance they realise how bad they and that they only get one shot and don't want to give it up. Mark Hutchings, Luke Blackwell, Kane Mitchell have all had a taste and find themselves back in the WAFL, I watch them now and see how hard they are working and the hunger they have to get another shot -

RR GTFOI, it's 2 years down the track new coach, new recruiting manager and new philosiphy on hard work. -
He is not worth pick 4 on it's own, he is not Chris Judd. If he wants to leave Port's hands are tied Pick 13 shoud be before anything Geelong & North can offer, would rather get two good kids with pick 3/4 maybe use one on MD and from what I have seen Toumpas is the one I would take but in all honesty haven't seen enough of any of these kids in the mix. Highlight reels are one thing but watching these kids live allows you to see how they read the play, their workrate, intensity, attack on the footy and the 1%ers. Don't get me wrong Boak is a good smart player but if Port want pick 4 I'm sorry give us Boak and Pick 7 in return but only after we have established Viney will be coming via a second round pick after FS nominations. We will have pick 3 in PSD so Port can sweat over that as well

I know from WA Private School boys Andrew Embley, Ben Allan, Ben Cousins, Michael Gardiner, Jarred Schofield, James Clement, Daniel Kerr, Karl Langdon, Don Pyke, Tony Evans, Ashley Mcintosh, Jack Darling, Quinten Lynch, Patrick Mcginnity, Nathan Van Berlo, Lance Franklin, Sharrod Wellingham, Mark Coghlan. I'm sure if I did some more research I could find a lot more so lets not streotype Private school boys, there are some hard nuts in that list, I'm not a private school boy but work my arse off to pay my boys through one. But believe me neither of them will be soft

Training under the Bailey era
Pennant St Dee replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Look there are a lot of people to blame here, if Bailey was as bad as it appears they should have acted. I love Jimmy and can't thank him enough but it's clear to me he was not capable of doing Leoncelli's job after he left. Everyone has the utmost repsect for Jimmy and he may well have been the white elephant in the room and lets face it at the end of 2010 we thought we were tracking well and it was easy to continue the way things were going. 2011 really opened our eyes GWS & Gold Coast as bad as they are still manage to get wins so nobody kid yourself about 2011 and the 8.5 wins we were shocking and wilted under severe pressure and teams who were willing to work hard. What's done is done and things are very clear now such as the lack of development in some of out draft picks compared with others, a lot of these boys have now realised what it takes to be a good side, some have taken it on board and those who aren't prepared to put in the hard yards will be culled. Pretty sure Neeld and the rest of the footy department have made their decisions on who needs to go and reputations will stand for nothing. It's going to be a very interesting trade period and I will be very interested to see what sort of players we target in the draft. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Pennant St Dee replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't care how good some of you think Martin looks, massive risks with him and I am not talking Jack Darling type risks. If we a really going for MD take Hogan don't take Martin and I believe Neeld will go the same option. -
Have seen the kid and quite impressed with him, would not use pick 4 on him and don't think anyone will take him Top 10, it's a gamble but think he may be there at 13

POLL: Watts v Naitanui ... Did we get it right or wrong?
Pennant St Dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mate as did I two totally different players and there is no right or wrong answer to the question IMO. and in case you are not aware just because you think it's a simple poll question does not make it one. No point answering/or not answering a question without providing a reason which is why I used the 2001 scenario to clarify the comparison -
JT has a footy brain and many of you will find in future years he will look quicker because he reads the play so well he will get to places quicker. Captaincy has nothing to do with it, is being taught a different role and as I have said continuously has yet to significantly lower his colours to an opponent all season. Certainly players on our list with a lot more concerns to the footy department

POLL: Watts v Naitanui ... Did we get it right or wrong?
Pennant St Dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
FFS talk about comparing apples with oranges, Range Rover have I missed the declaration on first prize for starting the most number of threads for the season. Similar to the Hodge/Ball/Judd draft of 2001 everyone will be a winner
