  1. You can PM me and stop wasting everybodies time reading through the thread because I aint clutching at anything. but please explain your point again in a PM of course what Vanders did to "earn a call up" as I believe you refer to it as to the reason why we can't discuss changes prior to Casey playing
  2. I know he was injured don't worry about the picture book I understand but here without the picture book I'll keep it simple , you had a shot at someone on here earlier for discussing changes before Casey played, from memory it was along the lines of posting changes before Casey played well it is a forum and they are free to discuss as they like, my first post was merely pointing out to you that players can still be named whether Casey have played or not, but that went over your head. And don't bother replying because I don't want to affect the other Demonlanders having to trawl through more pages of you getting into ridiculous arguments over trivial matters
  3. Head down to Gosch's paddock and see how you go, you'll get fairly close to the boys there
  4. Really where would we be without your guidance, so in your words what would he have done "to earn a call up" based on the Casey game
  5. Is that based on Vanders form last week for Casey
  6. 6.Vince 5.Jetta 4.Gawn 3.Watts 2.Vandenburg 1.Jones
  7. ONE WEEK AT A TIME, CRAWL BEFORE YOU CAN WALK, WLAK BEFORE YOU RUN CLICHES EVERYWHERE, WE ARE NOT AT TEH POSITION YET WHERE WE TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED
  8. I actually thought he would climb this year because he is very competative and is a pressure player, constantly going hard at the contested possessions and finds his footy or locks it down when outnumbered by opposition players. He is very hard to read because he hasn't been the standout I expected but still looks hard and clean inside. Not sure if you have seen Hardisty play at Box Hill but very much like him with added polish, will fight tooth and nail for every contest but just doesn't have the x-factor to really push him up high. Will be a solid contributor to whichever team drafts him but don't expect great things from him having said that IMO will be willing to work and will get the best out of himself. Between him and Clint Hinchcliffe if it's a hard competative ball winning mid from WA, Hinchcliffe has only just this year focused himself fully on footy and IMO has climbed over a few of those who were highly touted last season and leading into this season.
  9. If as I suspect we have a pick around 5-8 I wouldn't mind us taking Balic, also open to trading down and taking Curnow or Dunkley if he opts out of FS and is available in mid teens. Whilst all the talk of this draft is it is weak in depth think you will find it is one where a few gems get picked late. Jordan Snadden is one who has been highly touted and his ball wining ability is exceptional and he uses it well, only worry with him as I think I covered before is his tank, two way running doesn't seem to be something he does but a few pre-seasons can work on that. I do remember Paddy Cripps struggling to run one way and now look at him
  10. Would be a good in if he is right on a heavy track as would Michie if you think back to the Richmond game, haven't seen Harmes outside of training so can't comment on him although stats would point to him being the sort of player who would relish the conditions
  11. Subiaco isn't wide it is long and narrow, the narrowness of the ground allows them to put numbers behind the ball and prevents sides from exposing their defence and enables them to peel off and go third man up. We showed on the weekend on limited occassions they really don't like the man to man hard tackle game, North exposed it in Tassie, the up tempo finals pressure of Sydney, Hawks and Freo will see there delivery inside forward 50 not be as easy and clean as it was on Saturday night, Keendy and Darling wont be getting it lace out on to the chest in finals. The Pies unfortunatley have them at Etihad in two weeks and the Pies pressure will be a big test pity it's not at the G Meth Coast will be very dangerous next season when Brown and Mckenzie come back in and enable Mcgovern to be used as a swingman
  12. Should be a Detective Old Dee with ability to pick things like that up
  13. Bombers weren't to bad against Hawks and Meth Coast in their previous outings before the bye, Like Brissy today for 3/4's, Suns yesterday and Toiges yesterday you must bring the right attitude because if you go into any AFL game with the wrong mindset it is gone and their tails are up before you can do anything about it leaving yourself playing catch up and using a hell of a lot of tickets in the process which is not ideal coming back from the heat of Darwin. We need to bring the intensity to this game which we brough to Geelong, Richmond and Dogs, make it known early we are switched on hit them harder than the Saints hot them this week under no circumstances do we allow them to get any confidence up. Play the video of 2013 in the closing stages and what they did to us and what they did to our fans, show them Bomber blitz and us being tin rattlers, Long's hit on Simmonds in 2000, numerous Matty Lloyd articles/interviews slating us, fook em do whatever it takes but it is time to make a statement against this club we haven't forgotten and our time is coming
  14. And did you see either of them in my 22
  15. Expecting a light week on the track so the boys can freshen up, Matt Jones may stay in because we are playing the Bombers who can be exposed for run but IMO should be dropped, Spencer will be dropped due to match ups Jetta Dunn Garland Lumumba TMAC Cross Stretch Viney Vince Watts Dawes Brayshaw Garlett Hogan JKH Gawn, N.Jones, Tyson I/C:Toumpas, ANB, Grimes & Howe Emergencies: Newton, Michie & Fitzpatrick Out:Spencer, Bail & M Jones Ins:Lumumba, JKH & Grimes I am putting Brayshaw in as I am hoping he is okay and not really sure where Grimes is at with his hand, JKH needs to come in to give Garlett a hand at ground level
  16. 6.Viney - did a great job on Shuey and also worked tirelessly throughout 5.Vince - as above just insert Priddis where Shuey is 4.Garlett - provided good defensive pressure inside forward 50 was dangerous when the ball hit the ground and used the ball well 3.ANB - just finds it and was good throughout the game, makes the right decisions and uses the ball well 2.N.Jones - worked hard and as always brave throughout, finally lost out through lack of depth in our midfield 1.Watts - continued where he has been in the last month used the ball well as he always does
  17. Not quite right but I agree with a lot of what you are saying but Hawthorn, Freo & Sydney are very much the best sides in the competition especially when September comes and then there is daylight Top 4 and the next group of contenders Meth Coast, Collingwood or Richmond will take 4th and probably make a Prelim but are certainly beatable. They are the sides likely to become very much flag contenders in the next couple of years as the other 3 sides move into transition periods Of that group I see the Pies currently as the team with the most upside but Port will regroup and be back up there next season Finals aspirants and the other sides who will be pushing for finals next season and beyond Those saying we haven't improved need to realise we sit amongst that group of teams who can finish anywhere from 6th to 14th, I know we wont finish that high but when you look back over some of those games we've dropped and others have won I see us being amongst the cluster of sides who are either on the improve or decline and depending upon draw/injuries/luck over the next couple of seasons can make finals or miss out. That group is Port, Crows, North, Cats, Dogs, GWS, Dees and Saints. Of this group I already stated above that I see Port as the most likely to jump up quickly to be contenders again and we all know how good that GWS side is going to be. We will find ourselves very much pushing for finals in the next few years once we keep turing our list over and developing the good young talent we now have at our disposal. But to become a contender we need to not be happy with just making the 8, because over the next few years Freo, Hawks, Sydney, North and Cats are going to fall away for a couple of seasons and opportunities will arise. I'm not saying all of those sides are going to miss finals but they will go into small rebuild modes before being genuine contenders again The bottom 4 If you stand still you can very quickly fall away because of the Lions, Suns, Blues and Bombers the Suns are very much capable of putting a good run together with Prestia, Ablett, O'Meara, Martin, Lynch, Thompson, Ritschatelli and May in their group. As we all know make the wrong picks and lose good players and a shocking run with injury can see us moving very quickly from pushing finals to falling back in this bottom 4
  18. I said it earlier on in the year steer clear of Bennell and was slated his habits and attitude are common knowledge to many and I also stand by what I said previously he is not worth the risk, he may stay on the straight and narrow for a few months maybe a season but he will get comfortable with where he is at and believe he is above everyone and that he can do both, play AFL and keep is bad habits in check
  19. Don't mind Charlie Curnow who I think will slide so would not be adverse to us trading down our pick to the mid to late teens
  20. Agree totally quick ball use also eliminates Mcgovern peeling off and going up 3rd man
  21. There is no sporting club or organisation in the world I hate more than Meth Coast, cmon boys make my week/year and bring the same which you brought to Kardinia Park
  22. Only issue is that Mcgovern, Schofield and Darling have had a week off to freshen up and it would have been nice to get them after the Tigers game so they will have had 15 days off by the time Saturday nights game comes around. Darling has only come back in and was slightly underdone so would have been nice to get him on a minimum turnaround. They have some awesome running power across the ground and are still very much a confidence side and we can't afford to start rusty against them and allow them to get their tails up, we need to come out of the blocks and set the tone very early for a physical contest. Has anybody got any info on the ground in Darwin a nice big ground more in terms of width will help us expose their defence and isolate some one on ones inside our forward 50
  23. In the right programme and the right culture this can be sorted out and we need look no further than Jack Darling
  24. What did you make of Sam Powell-Pepper Chaser, been watching him since he was in U11 at Mt Hawthorn really like this kid a lot going to go very high next year in the draft
  25. They played in NT a couple of time in NAB cup over the last few years but not sure this current side would have played much up there
