Bail played well with a couple of very average set shots. Pedo and Nicho both played with intent and took a couple of big hits -

Great effort by the boys given so many outs. No injuries is also a major plus. Looking forward to next game! -

The Vince article on mfc website states that the first 10 players ran under 10 minutes. This is a great effort. Anyone know who was the top 10? -
Demons' Jack Watts ready to take on the elite
sydneydee replied to Romey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watts will have a solid year as he learns his new role. By the end if his contract I believe he could be top 10 in the competition. He has elite skills, pace and decision making for a tall and as he matures he will tough to match up. -

Demons' Jack Watts ready to take on the elite
sydneydee replied to Romey's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm an unashamed Jack Watts fan. I really believe that he will make it and make a lot of posters look silly. Lets back of our loyal players who had the opportunity to jump ship and decided to stay. My 2 up has the number 4 on the back of his jumper -
Merry Christmas to all. Thanks for everyone's contribution over the year which makes this site a daily read. Loving the varity of training reports recently. Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable festive season. Go the Dees.

Great to see a couple of players from the stingrays. Was hoping we may have signed a couple more local lads

Name 3 players you are keen to see in 2014 and why
sydneydee replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thought that might get a response. Fair point regarding the intent of that drill as I would not know. Dunn is good 1:1 so it is possible that he is beating Hogan at this stage of his development. Am hoping that you are right obviously. -

Tyson - We are desperate for a big bodied mid and this guy has all of the tools. He came back from injury at the end of the season and showed a bit in the rd 23 game against GC. I am hoping that he becomes the deal of the draft Watts - Will we finally see Watts dominate games? I am hoping that Roos give him the confidence to use his athletic abilities and become an elite inside receiver and use his pace and skills to set up plays. Fitz - The big man could become anything. I am a huge fan and I believe he could be the biggest improver of the current players. I have really enjoyed watching his progress in 2013. I haven't bought into the Hogan hype. The kid will be a gun however we should not expect big things for a couple of years. It was stated in one of the training threads that Dunn was beating him in 1:1s so let's control the hype. -
Thanks heaps for the reports.
-
Look forward to your report McQueen.
-
I actually hope we take him at 40. Roos will be able to get the best out of him
-
Would be a fantastic get at pick 9. Very exciting prospect
-
Well done team. I was suffering withdrawal symptoms.
-
Perhaps we could offer a trade for pick 2
-
Pumped cant wait for the training reports! Very excited about next year

Spoke with Paul at a conference yesterday and he is a top bloke. Of interest he said he thought we would get a pick 1 PP. He rated both our captains, Sylvia and Watts. He had heard good things about Hogan but never seen any footage. He spoke about the need to get a great team around you and he said it is important to have a close mate as an assistant. At Sydney Ross Lyon was his right hand man. He also spoke about culture and importance of the leadership group setting team norms and enforcing the right behaviors. He is very inspirational and would be an amazing get for Melbourne. Go dees
