Lapses are a problem. We had large periods all last year and it didn't look good against the Lions lastly week, but can you call the 4 goals vs North a lapse? 17:29. They are all over us. Time to get worried. Our kicking efficiency is at about 55% 11:01. They got their forth from a shocking mistake by Frost. Really worrying now. If they keep going like this we will be stuffed. 10:08 Bugg puts through our first. 9:09 Kent kicks our second. I don't give a [censored] about the first goal. They were pushing us pretty hard but we were still giving it back and going ok. After the second, I was starting to get worried. 4 minutes later they have 2 more. Not looking good. Within 2 minutes we have 2 goals on the board. Momentum is 50/50 for the rest of the quarter. So yeah. We couldn't stem the tide for 4 minutes and conseded 2 goals which we instantly got back. Call it a lapse if you want.I won't be. I also won't be getting worried about a 'what if' like what if we lapse against the Hawks. If we do I will be [censored] off. Until then I'm going to enjoy the win.

What am i missing here? The stats clearly shows that it was his best game this season. Dug deep and played his best in the third quarter when others dropped off. All this, and he hasnt even hit his 2 year average yet this season. You guys are harsh critics.

For what its worth i agree with you on most things. The negativity on here does my head in sometimes. I hate it when you shoot down anyone with a negative opinion because they have never played/coached at the top level. An opinion can be positive or negative. We all have the right to voice our opinion no matter which way it leans. Many come here to vent. I see that you have edited your original post, so kudos to you. I will have to rewatch the game to see how we attempt to slow the game down though. It looks to me that we just continue to try to move it forward no matter the cost. Was the free kick the Lewis one on Christensen? I think thats a hard one to judge, Lewis lost sight of him for a moment and made a mistake. Christensen was playing for frees all game which make it hard.

I would back him in. He did well enough on T.Hawk last week. I don't hate Frost but I the only person who I think would be a better matchup on Brown would be TMac. Although bringing in Frost may free up Lever to intercept which may well have been Leoncelli's point.

It seems that every year we get an NRL expert to come teach us how to tackle correctly. Tackling in the NRL is based around stopping your opponent. AFL tackling should be about forcing incorrect disposal. Pin the bloody arms please. So frustrating to see opposition get rid of it often to advantage.

Great game. So glad that footy is back. Ours to win and we lost it. Once again we lost control for a patch of time and couldnt change momentum. Very frustrating that we havent learnt to stop these periods. Hannan had another shocking game. He had the new and shiny pass last year. Needs to do much more across the whole match. Wagner proved some haters wrong. Anyone who pots him after that game has no idea. Garlett didnt look like his lively self. Maynard looked like a Casey player. Another slow mid is not what we need. He is 26 years old. I would much rather gift games to a younger player.

Brisbane looked good for 80% of the game. Saints worked very hard to pull away towards the end and the score difference wasn't a true reflection of the game. They won't be a push over next week.
