  1. It looks like I will need some bonus points at some stage going on early form.
  2. While it's not a big drama, there's definitely room for improvement in the appearance of the logo. It'll take a bit of getting used to otherwise...
  3. Wasn't Matthews a mentor to Dean Bailey during his tenure? Or am I getting confused...
  4. Yes. And the timing in this instance (due to EW debacle) has given Webjet so much more exposure than would normally be expected.
  5. Assume Matthews doesn't do twitter but if he did it would be an avenue.
  6. I reckon Magner would throw him around like a rag doll.
  7. I think it was the significant impost on the players mental wellbeing in Melbourne that saw him make the trip to Perth.
  8. Moloney out with Groin soreness again this week so we should see Tom Couch get a run. I can see us dominating the clearances this week but it's the ball use which needs to dramatically improve. I think Mitch will kick a bag on Saturday and we'll get up comfortably.
  9. I want wins, not answers. The club has gone through an extremely difficult period just recently and a major overhaul during the off-season. There a variety of threads available to read through for you to maybe form an opinion on the answers you seek. Take a deep breath.
  10. Thanks to that lady in Block 340, 2nd tier down the front, who shared her sun burn cream with fellow Dee's supporters. It was as hot-as-nuts in that first half and the beer was warm too. Oh, and that security guard that come upstairs to find out who sprayed water over everyone to celebrate Melbourne receiving a free-kick was a flogger also.
  11. Both Watts and Blease will fair better with an extra 5 kilos on them - we know that. Nothing new here... Shuey at this stage is a far better player than Blease.
  12. Watching the rd 6 1993 bombers v cats game on chooseday night footy on fox. Talk about raining goals! One Mark Neeld running around in it as well.
  13. I don't mind him but I think you're a bit over-excited. He still has a fair bit to prove this year IMO.
  14. Too right. How can you be absolutely confident of what you're doing when you're still in a learning process?? We are not this bad due to the playing list or the game plan.
  15. He must rate our chances of getting over the Tigers.
  16. Agree only a little bit. Grimes had the opportunity to brace for that hit if he was more aware of his surroundings. Hopefully he can return the favour next time we play them.
  17. Thanks for stating the obvious Gaz. I wish he hadn't added to wait and reserve judgement until after the Tigers game though...
  18. Reported by Ch 10 news in Perth after training at Claremont on Friday. Assuming they had spoken to someone at MFC or possibly just made it up. The fitness staff kept Davey out on the field for an extra 30 mins or so after the main group had gone in to the rooms.
  19. The decision was made to get him away from the Melbourne media. I believe a rest away and across the other side of the country might prove more beneficial than playing au Casey.
  20. Don't mean to nit-pick but you've missed out on mentioning and therefore removing JB from the team to play the Tigers. Sort of says it all for me. JB does not have a role to play in this side and will (MUST) be traded at years end.
  21. We gave away plenty but the general consensus from the MFC supporters at the game was that we weren't paid the ones we were due. That was the great injustice and the reason for the massive gap. Not purely our poor tackling. Some posters need to get their facts right about this topic.
  22. I went to the game yesterday and it's quite incredible to watch the Eagles structure up when they get the footy. The speed at which they got into position and the confidence they had when passing the footy was awesome to watch. They just knew where their team mates were going to be. This is the same team that won the wooden spoon in 2010. I'm sure that Neeld referring to the Eagles as slick, and that our players getting a close-up look at them will only benefit their development and understanding of what Neeld is trying to implement in the way of a game plan. People said that the Eagles had tanked in 2010 but that's far from the truth. The Eagles of 2010 were sticking to their guns and building a brand of football that wins games and earns finals appearances. It was a long year for them but it appears to be paying off. We need to give our players and new coaching staff the same opportunity to implement then consolidate their new brand. I understand we absolutely have to turn a few blokes over at years end, but let's all take a deep, deep breath and let the experts play their hand.
  23. It hasn't worked before, why do it again?
