Great stuff mate. Ive had the old man come up from Colac last night to join me today at the G. We're both feeling pretty dusty right now following a few too many froffs so a Demons win before flying back to Perf will be most welcome. Unfortunately, I'm not feeling all that confident.

Is it just me or does it look like Don Pyke's head is shaped like a banana?

West Coast are so fake. I'll be gutted if they make the 8 before us.

What a hectic week of travel but thankfully I've just boarded the tin pigeon in Sydney heading down to Melbourne town and I'm getting pretty excited about seeing only my 3rd H&A game for the year. Essendon win Eagles win Saints ? I only grace you with my presence a few times each year so don't disappoint me Dee's. ???? -
That's remarkable given the reports on the injury at the time indicated that the collar bone had multiple fractures. Not as bad as first thought?

Carlton getting ripped off.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 21

If we win it will be a terrific decision by Goodwin. If we lose it'll be the worst decision ever by Goodwin Sometimes you just can't win whether you're the player or the coach. -

More like Wagner for Salem. Watts for Weids isn't too much of a stretch either. watts had a better 2nd half last week but his efforts have been close to putrid. Give me sustained effort over patchy shows of class every single day of the week. -

Andy, can you please ask Troy to answer why we bomb the ball in like no other team in the league? I expect a good answer from the 'Offensive Coordinator '. -
Fark me. If we put Hogan up for trade after the year from Hell he's had I would be absolutely astonished. It would reek of poor behaviour and even poorer ethical standards given the process it took to get his extension signed. Just, I don't know sometimes how the mods even allow this shite to stay on this board.

If we can sneak into the 8 and walk away with the Cup from where we're at then I'll consider it a better come back than Jesus Christ.

Sounds a bit like our last decade prior to Jackson/Roos.

And then there's the tackles where players fall into an oppositions back or drive them forward in a tackle which has resulted in numerous shoulder injuries - two of our own this year in Smith and Kent. Can't even get a free kick from those, just part of the game. Ed: and Grundy's second action was a byproduct of Brown trying to stand up in the tackle. He had to increase his effort to execute the tackle.
-
This was a tackle - a crucial part of our game so I can't really appreciate the analogy you've presented. Grundy's intent was to win a free kick from a HTB decision or at the very least to get the ball to spill from Brown' possession back into contest. I think it's unfortunate that any player gets concussed from a great tackle but it's an occupational hazard that they know is very real. A far as a punch goes, the Fahour case is a classic example where players should be charged and ultimately convicted for acts of malicious intent. As an aside, the grounds are rock hard nowadays due to the improved turf and drainage. We're not getting the wet winters like we used to, the game is played under a roof etc etc. All adds up to more severe outcomes rather than just focusing on the poor bloke just playing the game.
-
Classified as high impact due to Brown spending a night in Hospital whereas Kreuzer did not. Measured on outcome once again as opposed to intent.

Ouch!

You stated it as a fact, not an opinion. Maybe next time you should highlight that.
