Let's just keep our wits about us and keep the coaching staff and administration accountable for the mess we are in. I've heard enough politicking and false dawns from coaches that I only believe what I see on the field. Right now, it seems like neeld wants a team of robots. Football is not like that. It is about the mind, body and most importantly spirit. Why is it, that this year do most supporters and the team for that matter, seem dejected and spiritless, almost just going thru the motions, hoping that neelds structures and methodology will get us wins. We need a lot more than structure and fitness, we need spirit, and I'm afraid neeld just does not seem to arouse the soul. Time will tell, just don't delude yourselves, again.

Maybe we have a clause in the contract that allows us to get rid of the coach if he obviously is not up it. You would have thought that the board would have enough brains not to risk the important coaching position on a speculative, untried assistant, with a poor playing pedigree. Staggering!

Malthouse took an underperforming Collingwood to a couple of grand finals almost immediately with a pretty ordinary list. Then won a premiership. He also won 2 premierships with the Eagles. And now, you can sense that he is itching to get back into coaching. Dare I say, I think Carlton will snag him, unless we act first. Malthouse may be the difference between us win a premiership and potentially re-building again in 3 years time. Q. Why does everyone love Neeld so much? Apart from recruiting Clark and flogging the players on the training track, what has he done?
