  1. Are you serious? Really, are you serious? Maybe I am crazy. I would be absolutely stoked if we made the finals. Absolutely stoked if we were in the position of north Melbourne, instead I have to suffer this excuse making bullish from someone who prefers to come last. Really, are you serious?
  2. All I hear is excuses. I want to win. We can only turn over about 10 players at the end of the year, so we have to work with what we have. but the nucleus of our side is there. There is no reason why Howe can't turn out to be like Tony modra, for example. Or blease like Peter matera or even bennell like Lewis jetta. They have the ability, it is all between the ears and hard work. Neeld didn't believe in us. Now the poison is spreading. It is eating at the soul of the club. I would keep 90% of the players and find a coach that can get the most out of them. I would also try interviewinga proven successful coach. I am sick of excuses. Other clubs can do it, actually, every other club is doing it (improving) except us. The bullish must stop. I want a coach that says, 'I guarantee that we will improve', not 'the list is [censored]
  3. So how do we fix the problem and start winning? Please give me more than, 'it will take time'. I firmly believe our list is capable of making finals. I see the upside of all players, I even think fellas like petered and bennell can be developed to be very good footballers.
  4. Moloney and jamar were the number 1 clearance duo in 2011. It's not the players. Our list, playing at full potential can be finals worthy. We were in contention up until round 15 last year. Mate, look higher up the tree than the players.
  5. We can make it come nasher. I would love to contribute to the 'new winning culture' of the MFC. Like all great movements, we need a 'creed' or 'constitution' or '10 commandments' so to speak. Structured beliefs such as 'Always play to win'.
  6. Gee you fired me up nasher. Your the boss, ok. If you heard talk back radio after the game from older Melbourne supporters, ie, prior to 64, you would have heard genuine disgust with mark neeld, and the commentators did not disagree. I, am now probably in the majority of supporters who think neeld is done. Many of us have seen enough. This is a democracy correct? I am saying, if neeld is not sacked by the board, there may be a challenge to the board. A new ticket if you will. Why? Because the board members gave g.Lyon to much authority and power of influence that resulted in a 5 year rebuild that has left us worse than we started. Nb: Financially we are doing well because of stynes and wealthy supporters.
  7. Nasher. You are an administrator right? Last week, rangerover started a thread, "it's the cattle, stupid!" This week, I started a thread, "its the coach, stupid!", and you have decided to lock the thread. How do you justify this action.
  8. It is now laughable, especially when neeld says he is relatively please with our progress. I wonder if the board is swallowing his bulltish. I doubt it. If they are considering keeping him next year, I think they're positions may be challenged. Letting G.Lyon have so much influence, really fcuked our club!
  9. 3AW every night. I listen to it on the way home. Very rarely do I disagree with Gerard, he is balanced, intelligent, fearless and he loves footy. Its just a matter of how much he loves the MFC.
  10. Actually, I think Gerard is the most intelligent bloke in the football media. Not loyal, but neither was barrassi, however, he would be a fine president indeed. Nb. It is good to have a president in the media. Expanding the supporter and advertising network. Lyon would have been good if he wasn't an ego maniac.
  11. Moloney, jones, mckenzie, Sylvia, trengove, Gysberts, tapscott, Howe, Magner, grimes. Please compare
  12. Who has the best list. Melbourne Doggies Kangaroos Blues Richmond Brisbane. They all kinda look the same to me. Remember, moloney and jamar were the no1 clearance duo in 2011. Now evaluate the coaches of these teams and see where they sit, who is on the rise, who is on the slide, and who is going nowhere.
  13. Ofcourse this site can make an impact. butterfly wings
  14. He is malthouses assistant
  15. If I were king for a day, I would do the following, Elect Gerard Healy as president. Todd viney as vice president Greg healer as CEO Mick malthouse as coach Neeld as assistant coach Ratten as midfield coach Mission as fitness coach B Lovett as backline coach L. Brown as forward coach Garry Lyon and Schwartz, our accomplished and proven voicepieces. Intelligent passionate fearless winners. We wear red and blue, we own the mcg, our heart is at the core of the games roots. We were the pioneers, the first of the first. We borrowed the game from our indigenous brethren, Together we sweat blood on the old yarra mud, we wear the southern cross on our emblem. We thank all that has been loyal before us, For we are the tribe that are driven to hold the cup of gold over our home. And keep it there.
  16. Malthouse took over from a struggling T.Shaw at Collingwood. Within a very short period of time, he took an average playing list to Grand Finalists for 2 consecutive years. P.Roos took over a poor performing Swans outfit and turned them into Premiers within a short period aswell. Both team lists were average, but these coaches had the ability to turn average teams into champion teams. And, they didn't need to bottom out, they just starting winning, and developed a winning culture almost immediately. We want a winning culture. And if that means win win half of our games instead of 10% of our games, surely it is a better outcome. And to answer your question, I would have selected Sheedy over Bailey, and later Malthouse over Neeld. I am dissapointed that the club gambled our future on unproven coaches. Nobody in their right mind would second guess Sheedy or Malthouse, they are tried, tested and proven performers, 2 of the best coaches of all time. This is probably why I am so impatient with Neeld. There are better candiates waiting in the stands that if selected, will allow us to have a better crack at the premiership in a quicker period of time. So, we remain patient and continue the gamble with Neeld or we move decisively and hire Malthouse or Roos. NB. I would have picked Mathews over both of them, however he was either unavailable or unmotivated.
