  1. McDonald-Tipungwuti 171cm Colyer 175cm McNiece 178cm Green 178cm Fantasia 177cm Doesn't make the average 177cm but there's a few shortys in there
  2. I can only put up what was publicly available Nasher. Courtesy of footywire. Who knows maybe they got it wrong, maybe they didn't. Edit: Maybe they meant to put 187cm and fat fingered it!
  3. First time in a long time i can remember going into a match with more experience (just) both overall and at the top end of 100 games or more...... And after some concern about our big man stocks around the ground did the bombers go in way short overall!?? The weight difference is massive at this level also....
  4. I didn't see the match other than highlights and the goals AF but weighted stats i keep had him ranked 3rd in his best "non rucking" game of the year and his best comparative ranking of the year (he may have had better overall games statistically and in reality in matches where he played a significant part in the ruck as these stats dont take hit outs to advantage, or any hit outs, into account). Personally if he kicks 3 to 4 goals (or more) most weeks i would be over the moon with that result!
  5. Not so bad yourself OD ...intended or otherwise!
  6. I have never understood that either Col. Just go with the most "in form" players vs roles/match ups on the day and make others from Casey play eye popping football over a 3 to 4 week period and the player they are looking to replace also playing 2/3/4 weeks ordinary up and down footy before looking at as a potential omission. Playing the best in from players consistently will breed confidence, and understanding of how each player goes about his work and team cohesion. A self belief that if you play your role and play it well you are here to stay and won't be dropped for one bad/off game. From there you can build towards finals....and from there... Hopefully ... ? ? ?
  7. Boydie I've heard there are special places around town if you want to partake in a little self flagellation...
  8. Thanks Tracc. Commentators must have had their house on the Bongers winning that one. Flattest most uninspiring call I have ever heard. If you watch Lewis's "thread the needle" goal from hard up against the boundary in the pocket, Huddo & piggy actually groaned as he kicked it as if in dissapointment. About the only goal they raised an eyebrow over was Tracc's spinning goal out of the pack directly in front.
  9. Again just play whoever is the best "in form" player for a similar role La D. Ignore the name and the "potential" tag. Michael Tuck took a number of seasons plus 50 games in the twos before finally cementing a regular place with the Hawks during their first mighty era as you probably know.
  10. Just play whoever the best "in form" player is at the time for the role required deever and let the rest look after itself. Howe has hardly missed a game for the Pies since crossing and is usually in their best defenders every week. Dunn kept Hawkins quiet yesterday. I highly doubt our match committee would even consider risking O-Mac on that match up, although nothing would surprise me at times. I would happily take either of these defenders over Melksham & O-Mac at this point.
  11. Not sure it was Goodwin. Possibly hangover "group think" in the Wake of the Roos era. Alternatively Macca, who had huge crush on Weids from last year. Speculation but might have gone in to bat a little too hard too early on the " Weids is gonna be a gun", lets play him now (over Pedders) argument with the coaching crew. A huge mistake if so. I agree with OD here, the decision to keep playing Weids (in blind faith even when not performing) and overlook Pedders may have cost us one or more games this year and might even cost us a place in the finals.
  12. Frost on Joey FTW! Mind you he kicked like a spud today. Can play on his day though. People have short memories. Had Reiwoldt kicked as badly last week we would have won. Had Joey kicked as well as Reiwoldt last week...well who knows. Things might have been different.
  13. Is going to be a smaller 'medium' forward) version of Fyfe given a few more pre-seasons. Will consistently be our leading goal scorer within 3 to 4 years. Kid is a natural.
  14. A nice pick up. Pitty we couldn't have retained Dunn & Howe in favour of Melk amd O-Mac. Both a fair way ahead of these two, even if they look uglier in B&W.
  15. WATT happens when you play more direct football with a heap more kicks than handballs and don't play WATTS in the ruck for long stints, preferrably not at all. And you don't have a wet kid who isn't ready yet trying to play a tall forward role and leaving us one short up forward and can't play in the ruck either....Watts again. Welcome back Pedders. Job done.
  16. Gotta be happy with any win over that arragont bunch
  17. Amazing what happens when you kick the ball a fair bit more and gain yardage, get it i50 a little quicker .... This week's kick to handball ratio .... 1.33 Last week.... 1.07
  18. Essendrug have finally worn out
  19. Are we going to win!!! turnover city today
  20. If he has a full pre season under his belt he would surely only need 4 to 5 days to fully recover BR They are professional footballers and their loads are carefully monitored and managed on game days and on the training track with very few players spending more than85%-90% time on the ground. Has played one ordinary game and, on average, is easly tracking in our top 8 to 10 players so far.
  21. Are you telling me we could be 10 goals up with the siren about to go and still lose Danelska?
  22. A little extra pace for us can only be a good thing....no matter where it comes from!
