  1. Still no answer. The online link is about to expire, so I'll have to use another email account to set it up again. Next week, when I'm free from uni forever (and have had some sleep at last), I might give the club a ring. As it stands though, I'll give them a few more days because they must have a lot of emails coming in. Thanks for the bump.
  2. Tassie, Darwin, Cairns, Manuka? How often do we play those grounds? Subiaco is a real AFL venue where we play at least once a year. Given how [censored] our interstate record is, I'm happy to travel there and give our young team the opportunity to experience that arena. Obviously playing at Etihad against Richmond would have been better, but we just finished last and are known for pulling small crowds, so lets not get too greedy. Plus at least we're playing a team we can beat!
  3. Playing Freo is HARDLY a tough draw. Yes playing in Subiaco is not ideal, but I'd rather play at a real AFL ground than have to travel to some hole where we're unlikely to gain any valuable experience. Pretty happy with that to be honest. We might even win!
  4. I'm fairly certain our SA recruiting team was there on the day, so the club has seen him play in that match. Perhaps BP just has too many headaches concerning picks 11 and 18, and knows Trengove is a lock, that he rather spend time trying to choose those picks? Or maybe he's bullshitting to confuse us all?
  5. And here I thought studying for a marketing exam on a Saturday night was the worst news of the day... Thanks for the info, shame it's not such positive news. If he does nominate for the ND, I hope he doesn't end up at Collingwood. One because I loath Collingwood, and two because anyone who doesn't want to play for Melbourne should suffer as if they did Edit: fathers need to stay the hell away from their kids career. Have we learnt nothing from Damir Dokic?
  6. I have just two questions... 1) Can he kick? 2) Is he 192cm?
  7. This thread turned from depression central to LOL central. Well done. I have it on good authority that after reading this thread, Sam is so devastated that he's planning on breaking his other leg, in an effort to hide from the public humiliation of showing his fat body on the field next season. P.S.- Stuart Dew's premiership medals say hi.
  8. I would have had Frawley in third place, or Bate in third and Frawley in fourth. But then I'm not really a Bruce fan, although the club clearly appreciates his role in the side. Maybe Frawley didn't get more votes because he was really hindering our tanking process for a while!
  9. But he is still not a better ruckman
  10. It is an annoying cliche, but there are varying degrees of everything. Some players are simply more passionate and more vocal than others. Moloney is at the top of that list, which doesn't necessarily make him captain material, but it does qualify him under the "bleeds red and blue" cliche. The one thing I really admire about him, is his positive attitude. He always seems to have his head held up high, and pride in the jumper, and that's really important to have in a senior player.
  11. True. I expected him to finish top 4 to be honest. It was a very tough year for defenders, and Warnock deservedly finished 5th, so I was surprised that Frawley didn't finish around that mark as well.
  12. That is spot on. I think he has the biggest scope for improvement out of all the ruckmen currently on our list (not hard), and represents terrific value for the future. I look at Jamar, Jolly, PJ at his age, and they were hopeless, well and truly. Spencer is far from hopeless and that is despite not having much football experience (he comes from a basketballing background). If the third year rookie option wasn't made available, I'm confident we would have promoted him. He is far and away the most promising and most likely premiership ruckman on our list. On a separate note, how terrible is our ruck division?
  13. This thread is quite stupid. Getting stuck into past champions of the club for doing nothing wrong, getting upset over future champions changing jumpers and being happy... I suppose it's good to know that we have got nothing more important to worry about. Dear god!
  14. Pleased that Moloney made that comment and it shows IMO that Brock's desire to leave is very much an isolated case. Did anyone tape that speech? :D Also really glad that Frawley was recognised by the coaches. He's had a terrific season and deserved to be rewarded.
  15. Excellent news Two Sheds! Your story just devastated me and it's great to hear that you have some very positive news to share. As I think I said to you before, doctors don't know everything and they are often wrong. You keep fighting and stay positive and you definitely can beat this. Cancer is still largely an unknown disease, particularly rare cancers, so please make those medical books as one of those success cases that every other poor bastard with the same type of cancer can look to. Best of luck!
  16. Yeah I would definitely have loved to invest more time in this, but the original project was to create 5 coordinated garments, and I've ended up with 78 SKUs. The project is only worth 15% of my final CAD mark so I couldn't really spend months on it. Also as I've mentioned, I've had about 4 hours sleep in the past month trying to juggle uni, work, family, a life etc..., so I probably made some pretty ordinary mistakes in there (e.g.- should have done more research into EST date, I mean come on, that's pathetic! ) I think all up I spent about a week of actual designing, which is not much for so many SKUs. I look at it with very critical eyes and see definite improvements to be made, but please I'd love some specific feedback of things that should be improved. It's interesting to note that so many people love the fashion items (more so than the plain products), and it really does support my opinion that the club is missing out on a huge market of casual supporter wear. I tried to keep it fairly plain, but knowing the reaction to the trend-driven products in the assortment means I can go nuts with heaps more ideas. I haven't had any reaction to the link I sent Schwab on Twitter (he's probably bombarded with messages, or I may just be too stupid to figure out how to Twit him properly ), so does anyone know of who within the club I should be contacting? I really don't want to just send this through to the ideas email address, because this isn't a generic proposal. Do we even have an apparel merchandise manager?
  17. He and Brock are very good mates, so I find that a little hard to believe. Although he is one passionate guy. Love watching his head nearly explode everytime he sings the club song!
  18. And well done to Aaron Davey for taking out the B&F for 2009. Well deserved. (Thank god we signed him, imagine the embarrassment! )
  19. Frawley for 3rd... come on! Edit: BOO! :D
  20. Well in fairness you could suggest that he is a bad character...
  21. Thank you. I've shown the range to a number of Melbourne supporters outside these boards and they also seemed keen. Likewise I've succumbed and joined Twitter (argh!) and sent the link to Cameron Schwab. (oh and this is a shameless bump )
  22. I have no doubt that, at the time, their caretaker coach who was vying for the job, wanted to win. Before that match, they still had the chance to score themselves pick 2 in the draft. They won and then all bets were off and they kept on winning from there, knowing full well that they won't secure a top 2 pick. But no doubt Brad Scott and their supporters would rather have Trengove or Scully in November, than a few meaningless wins.
  23. I'm going to slowly step away from this thread now...
  24. As I said, I could have literally done hundreds of variations and products, but time was not on my side. More headwear, socks, I was even thinking board-shorts for summer, and then of course you have kidswear, babywear etc etc. The possibilities are endless, but I had to choose a starting point and limit myself, or else I would still be doing specs. It's great to have the positive response though, and it gives me confidence in approaching the club. Sadly I don't have the skills or money to get samples made, but if the club wanted to get it done, I could help them coordinate production and sampling. Thank you, but you'd be surprised how hard it is to get an industry job at the moment. I'm sick of freelancing so hopefully I can get something more stable soon enough. Oh and I will change it to 1858. Gotta get through the next two weeks of exams first though.
  25. I thought he was a guy too, that's why I'm so utterly disturbed. That, and the fact that I don't enjoy getting propositioned by women through private messages
