Stretcher out, Ablett gets his boys together. Melbourne getting massaged. Nice. Edit: Jack Viney for captain-coach
-
[censored] you to everyone involved in this club that has turned us into a rabble and made me hate football.
-
Sub out Byrnes. At least Strauss is doing ok defensively. Can I ask to sub off anyone and make Ablett swap jumpers? My god he is a freak. The only thing worth watching at this miserable game.
-
ClarkHogan Viney Three decisions you could argue would have been made under any coach, especially Hogan and most especially Viney. I can list 49 bad decisions from Neeld on the other hand. Starting with our trading and recruiting this off season.
-
Welcome to rock bottom. Again. Crowd is on suicide watch. People are leaving at half time. Yes, half time. I'm ready to claw my eyes out.
-
HOW CAN ANYONE STICK UP FOR THIS COACH? FFS we can't even do the basic things right. He is a joke and he needs to go. Now. This club can't take anymore of this rubbish. I don't care if we end up winning, quarters like this destroy football clubs.

Welcome to Demonland ... PETER JACKSON

And who is responsible for so epically failing at tanking if not our board and administration? -
Welcome to Demonland ... PETER JACKSON
Jaded No More replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Welcome indeed. Love him already and hope he stays long term. No more [censored] boys club, but an external eye who won't hold back. What a disgrace that we are heading towards a huge operating loss again. Everyone from board down to Neeld should take full blame for that. Jim worked so hard to save us financially and his predecessors have completely stuffed up in his absence. If Jackson can somehow save this train wreck, he should be forced by the AFL to stay on. -
Jetta's suspension is up, right? Disappointing he isn't playing, I think he brings a lot of effort and hardness to the team. That is one sh*t line up. Where is poor Fitzpatrick? Kid works his butt off and still no game?

Magner is no superstar, not even close, but FFS we need to give Jones and the others some physical protection. Magner is good for some clearances and tackles and he's somebody you won't push out of your way. He is a good ordinary player that NEELD BROUGHT ONTO THE LIST to protect our young bodies. With Grimes and Trenners out, that's even less experience and strength going into that centre bounce every week. What is the harm in playing Magner? Or more to the point, what is the reason for bringing him to the club if you won't play him when everyone else has fallen over and died? Btw, you wanna tell me that friggin Rodan on one leg and half a knee is a better option than Magner? Clearly Neeld is trying to justify that pick up.

Lol that's rich coming from someone who compared Tom McDonald to Gillies. I was passing on information word for word, so how is that a conspiracy theory? If you don't like what you read, stop reading it. Pretty simple.
-
Suddenly they are saying Grimes is out for a minimum of 8 weeks when it was 6-8 previously, Jones elevated to co-captain and interestingly Garland is made vice captain. Watch this space and don't jump to conclusions. I've been around here long enough that you can trust I don't just spread [censored] for no reason.

Wonder what PAUL ROOS is up to these days???
Jaded No More replied to Pata's topic in Melbourne Demons
I doubt this will ever happen, but my god I will weep with joy if it does. -
If the coach was performing and doing a good job, it wouldn't even be an issue. But he isn't getting results so this is not a slippery slope. As for the evidence, there are enough to suggest that enough good players are unhappy and want to look elsewhere. You can choose not to believe it. I choose to trust the information I have.
-
6th best player. Lol. So you'd keep a known commodity, a rare one, over a speculative coach with an appalling record?? I'm not suggesting we sack Neeld right now, but the longer he stays the worse the discontent within the player group. So you can try to devalue Frawley all you like, but you know full well that if players of his quality (of which we have so few) walk out, we go back 5 years.
-
If you had to make a choice between Neeld and Frawley for example, who would you choose? I think this opens up a valid argument about the priorities we need to look at when we are talking about coaching changes.
-
Fitzpatrick will play this week.
-
My understanding having spoken to someone well connected to the club is that Trenners is about to be put on ice and Jones will be our acting captain possibly until the end of the season. Also a possibility that Grimes will miss nearly if not the whole season.
-
Woah woah, lets not go crazy. Tommy Mac can at least defend, and has runs on the board. Please let us never compare him, or anyone who has ever played a good game in red & blue, to that weird bearded man whos existence at our club confuses and enrages me. McDonald is having a stinker of a season, but he can play, and his kicking is passable, his confidence just seems to be well down.
-
Grimes is weak?! WTF?!
-
Injury hasn't helped him, we know how hard it is to get over foot stress fractures. But I hate that he is being played in random positions. If he isn't fit to play, he shouldn't play. If he is, he should play in the middle. This "we are trying to educate him" crap from Neeld makes me angry. Trengove has been around long enough to now be played in his true role as a midfielder. It's not like accountability and defence are his issues, he is a great tackler and he works hard without the ball. But he's being played out of position, and it is not helping his confidence. Play him on the ball, for at least half the game, and at least let him get his hands on the footy.
-
I just wish we knew how to kick and that when we did win the ball that players would RUN FORWARD. Our forward 50 is emptier than Mitch Robinson's brain!
-
How about we just leave Jones alone and let him play well without any extra pressure. He is already carrying an entire midfield on his shoulders and looks utterly depressed and exhausted in the post match conference. He leads by example no matter what his title is because he is a star.
-
Far out we have [censored] luck. Poor Grimsey!
-
Terrible game (standards wise). At least we did well in the contested situations and clearances. Grimes getting injured does however insure that this game is another [censored] one. Off to drink now in the knowledge that we are one game closer to the end.
