  1. Bring back Cale Morton. He's juiced up on premium West Coast stuff now.
  2. OMG Paul Roos doesn't hate us anymore. He is totes about to ask us out on a date, get us drunk and try to get into our pants, only to never call us again. OMG YAY!
  3. If I was Harry Taylor and Melbourne came knocking, I'd be like Then I'd turn to my manager and be like
  4. I've decided that I don't care if he goes now or in 17 rounds, just as long as everyone at the club (especially players) are aware that we are actively knocking down the doors of every available experienced proven coach out there. If Jackson and co. aren't stalking Paul Roos, baking him cookies and waving wads of cash in front of his face as we speak, I will personally hunt them down and kick them in the nut sack. In an ideal world, Neeld pisses off during the mid-season break, a new decent coach is announced and even if said coach can't start until the end of the season, one of the assistants who this coach fully supports and endorses takes over for the reminder of the season, starting to implement the new coach's vision. This is what a normal, decent, functional, strong club should do. What Melbourne will likely do though, is sack Neeld at the end of the season then start looking for a replacement, get outdone by Brisbane, and end up with Terry Wallace.
  5. Hey, I will have nobody speak ill of Mitch 'the man' Clark. He is a big fat shinning light at the end of the sewerage tunnel. And he is big enough and awesome enough to handle that sort of pressure. I kinda wish Jones smacked Neeld on the back of the head with a "what about me" when he mentioned Viney at his post disgrace conference yesterday. Only insipid hopeless clubs point to 17-18 year olds as the pace setters, not to mention that it is utterly disrespectful to the senior players who work their nuts off for this club each week.
  6. I will always buy a membership, always, because I feel that it's the very least I can do no matter how bad things are. But I'm exhausted. This week really broke me, it was devastating to watch and painful to experience. I'm going to sit this week out, because I have something on which I don't want to miss for the sake of another kick in the guts. I feel ashamed that it's come to this, because I hate fair-weather supporters and in all of Bailey's time I never missed a game, but this club is making me feel intensely sick and it's time for a break. I will go to the Hawks game (and every other home game because we need the gate receipts) to watch us lose by 300 points and vow never to go again until something changes, and then I'll rock up the following week to watch us get humiliated on the big stage by Collingwood, and so on and so forth. That is the life of a die hard Melbourne supporter. It's an ugly road paved with pot holes, and incorrect signs that tell me Success Town is roughly 1300-3000kms away. Edit: I also have to agree that the last two years have seriously diminished my passion not just for the club, but for AFL in general. And I hate the club for putting so many people in this boat. I never felt more love and passion for this club than when Jimmy came aboard, but since he became ill and since 186, there is a certain disconnect that I can't quite recover. It gets more palpable each week too, where I find myself somewhere between laughing it all off as a big joke, and feeling sick to my stomach.
  7. Does anyone actually know wtf this means? I see no high performances. I barely see performances.
  8. He is an idiot. End of story. Finally stringing some good games together then has a massive brain fade that screws the team. Typical. And people called for him to be a leader. Lol!
  9. It there is no point sacking Neeld now, than as far as I'm concerned there is no point carrying on with this season. I'm sorry but I cannot go to the footy anymore and watch us play the way we are playing. 13,000 spectators will turn to 10,000 then 5,000 and a $1.5mill loss will quickly turn to $2.5mill. Players will continue to feel utterly hopeless and unmotivated and they will get their managers to start putting out feelers. Now some of you might feel heroic to say "stuff them, they can all go", but the reality is that losing Frawley, or Garland, or Howe or any of these quality players will put us back a further 5 years. You don't just let your best mature players walk out. We did it with Rivers and it seriously hurt us and he is not in the same sphere as Frawley. For as long as Neeld is coaching, it's clear to me that we will continue to be hopeless on the field. We can't afford such hopelessness.
  10. I think it's important that when Neeld goes, the people who appointed him and Bailey go too. If there is no accountability at the top, there won't be accountability anywhere. Players get sacked yearly but what about those who drafted, developed and coached them? I expect Neeld to be just one of many casualties.
  11. Hell. Nope, wait never mind, we're already there.
  12. So just so we're clear, you're happy for this club to keep losing, scrap that, keep getting destroyed, every week from now until the end of 2014? You realised this is the easiest stretch of matches we're going to have all year and we've come out of it with 3 wins... 3 quarters won that is. Count with me, 3. We are about to play Richmond, Freo, Hawthorn, and the list goes on.
  13. I have no idea how I was assumed to be a contributor to that site, but I got nothing to do with it. It's goddamn brilliant though. Really great work!
  14. All it is, is a deflection away from him. FFS stand up and take some accountability for the crap your team, your list, your selected players are bringing each week. His players cop ridicule and abuse in the media, on the ground, every damn week, and he has the nerve to tell the media to focus on the players and not on him? They should be focusing on him, I don't think Nathan Jones should go home each week and think "damn I must be a bad player" and open the paper and read how bad the team he just captained is. Neeld should have the balls to say "I know I am under pressure, I know we are not performing and I have to take at least some of the blame for that", not "focus on the players".
  15. The only thing bruised after an MFC game is the supporters.
  16. Clark, Jones, Howe, Frawley, Garland, Gawn, Viney, Hogan. That's more than a handful of potential stars. If only we could develop players.
  17. He should be ashamed of himself for not sticking up for the players. It's no wonder they don't give two shits about him and have no fight in them. If the coach won't fight for them, why should they fight for him? It's like working for an [censored] boss who makes you do things you don't agree with, and when you get questioned, your boss does not take blame or accountability. Pathetic.
  18. Or, get a coach that knows how to motivate, communicate and educate players. Like how Paul Roos built a premiership around a handful of stars and the reminder were good ordinary players who worked bloody hard.
  19. I would like for him to explain why players under his command are not playing "good enough". I want to know what he is doing to change things. I want him to admit that he's stuffed up and that at least he's learning from them. I want him to tell me why I should hold on in the face of epic failure. It's his [censored] job to fix this, to make us competitive and capable. Since he's come on board we've gotten worse, and he didn't see it coming. HE DID NOT SEE IT COMING! How the hell can a coach survive that?
  20. I wish I could smack the back of his head every time he said these things. It's worse than Bailey's "competitiveness". Stop talking bullish!t cliches. It does nothing to make me think you have any idea how to coach. Imagine if this is the sort of crap he feeds the players. No wonder we are defeated in the warm up.
  21. I am so sick of hearing Mark Neeld have no bloody idea. FFS his excuses are so pathetic. How dumb do you think we are? Give us something. Give us hope. If you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, how can we?
  22. He has no answers, that's the bottom line. When a coach says "I didn't see that coming" and "we were disappointing today", it's code for "I don't know what to do". A confidence and capable coach doesn't make excuses on Thursday, doesn't prepare for a loss pre-game. For 6 weeks now he has come out post match and the only thing he has hung his hat on, is experience. Not good enough.
  23. Are you for real? He sets the match ups, and the tactics and the pre match selection and it is his job to motivate the players and get them to play to an acceptable level without and without the ball. Our list is not great but it is far more talented than the rubbish it serves under this coach.
  24. I can't honestly believe that after today we can find a single reason for keeping Neeld. I was happy to sack him later in the year, but this team is now at breaking point. No good will come from keeping this coach for weeks on end with a death sentence shadowing his every move.
