  1. Nothing to lose by putting him up for trade. I trust that if we do trade him, it will be to benefit the team (or more importantly our midfield) significantly.
  2. And well done to Hogan and Brayshaw for their physical and mental resiliency to play nearly every game this season. They both had amazing debut seasons beyond our wildest expectations. I see Nathan Jones II in Brayshaw. P.S.- Howe very lucky to play every game. I'm fairly certain he was asleep in at least 10 of these games.
  3. And actually the noise from the crowd and the atmosphere was brilliant I was particularly fond of the deadly silence every time GWS kicked a goal, or the booing. It was a nice touch.
  4. Nice end to the season. Great to see so many youngsters having an impact and Jones and Vince back in form. Beyond thrilled that Crossy made it back. What an absolute champion he is. Overall this season has been a disappointment but we do have many shining lights and a decent group of players which we can build a good team around. My one off season wish other than giving Hogan a 15 year contract, is to add some leg speed.
  5. Salem, Viney, Brayshaw, Hogan, Stretch. Thank you football gods for these guys. Please never leave us. This is some stinking bad display of footy. Our skills are seriously deplorable and most our players are so dumb. No idea when how or where to kick/handball The only thing GWS is killing us with is their speed. On a fast Etihad track you can just see how their fast half back rebound leaves us for dead. We desperately need leg speed. Desperately!
  6. Brain fades aside, not a bad start Hogan's goal kicking is off which is a shame Really like Stretch. Starting to grow on me the kid.
  7. Great photos. My highlights - seeing what a "fat" beast Petracca is - evidence that despite clearly losing his toe, Frost is still actually alive - Jesse Hogan *swoon* - Daniel Cross and his son on the track for the last time
  8. And also interesting that hardly any players have been on social media congratulating Cross. No idea what this actually says.
  9. Roos said that he believes Garland's contract talks are progressing well in his press conference I for one would be glad to see him stay. Have always been a fan.
  10. Could this have been M Jones last game? Wonder if the good Jones will get up?
  11. Generating some interest in what is sure to be a lackluster affair at the worst stadium on the planet. Congrats and well done to him. Hope he has a great game!
  12. Except the result of the Freo game can also impact the order of the ladder outside of the 8 which impacts draft order, which has long term consequences
  13. Hope everyone turns up on Sunday and gives him the send off he deserves... And yes that includes our bloody players. Hope they turn up.
  14. Ugh great. That is completely different and stating the damn obvious I suppose sitting down with us is a good start.
  15. He will sign with Adelaide and I'll actually be happy about that. I like to see stars remain loyal to their club.
  16. LOL because Adelaide are opening a retirement/rehab centre?
  17. I also wouldn't blame him if he decides to walk, however I think it's nice of the club to say to him that we think we need to give youth a go but you are invaluable and we want to still give you a job and an income. This isn't the case for 99% of players who retire, and I'm sure he appreciates that. It is exactly what we needed to do with Junior, but of course we burnt that bridge like the unprofessional organisation we were. I would be thrilled if he stayed on as a development coach, and I hope that deep down he understands and appreciates that we extended his career by 2 years and potentially given him a role beyond his playing days.
  18. Lets just hope his manager isn't full of horse shite like the other managers generally are. Dear Melbourne, please give him whatever he wants.... money, cars, houses, prostitutes, the world. Just give it to him, lock him away for 20 years and lets all move on.
  19. I suppose we don't know that, but that he can't get a game in a crap side ahead of plodders like Spencer, says a lot. I understand totally that Gawn's development comes first, and I'm glad that we are giving him the #1 mantle. But with Frost assumingly not dead with that toe injury, I can't see us keeping both Jamar and Spencer. While Spencer is no good, at least he has more years in him.
  20. Really quite disappointed that we didn't give him another year. He has been great for our club, and his contribution on the field and off it has been invaluable. I hope he sticks around in a coaching role, if he wants to. Big shoes to fill. Thanks for everything Crossy, it's been a pleasure having you in red & blue!
  21. Who put a big stick up your butt lately? Sheesh. He's a first gamer, don't we have bigger fish to fry on the grill of negativity?!
  22. Deserves a farewell game more than Spencer deserves a games, ever. Has been a loyal, hardworking servant of this club and should be allowed to retire (I assume) with respect.
