  1. Sometimes I really hate this club. I cannot remember the last time I went through a whole season without feeling disgusted at our performance on multiple occasions. Games like today are no longer good enough. There are no longer excuses for a consistent lack of effort or urgency. We should be past this [censored] now, but we are not. On a separate note, rubbish coaching performance today. Questionable selections again. Also not really acceptable given the money sitting in that coaching box.
  2. That was all McDonald. He had 2 free on the wing and there was 30 seconds in the quarter. It was a bad decision regardless, but especially under those circumstances. Brayshaw couldn't do anything.
  3. Tom McDonald!!!!! That decision was so bad it almost cost us a realistic chance of maybe winning this game. Stop being brain dead. And please Hogan learn to kick from 40m+!
  4. Shameful. Melbourne circa 2014. Can't wait for the Roos excuses post game
  5. Get [censored]. I am so sick of losing to insignifent rubbish clubs. We are an infuriating dumb bunch of footballers playing lazy football. They want it and we don't. Simple. And beyond pathetic.
  6. We are playing pathetic football. Zero composure, midfield is getting thumped. This is gonna get ugly if we don't do something quick.
  7. Ordinary ordinary game. Really poor skills. Players are looking tired. Clearance work is not great.
  8. I'm too hungover to handle another loss to St Kilda. It's gonna be a loooong afternoon! Does anyone remember off the top of their head where on level 3 we can sit as general admin? Did I mention I loath that stadium?
  9. Great news. Also helps that he is very close with Hogan...
  10. So much for taking in fresh legs coming off such tough conditions. I feel we keep making the same mistakes and I just hope it doesn't cost us again! Super happy to see Gus back btw!
  11. The question should be, is he the most important coach we've had? I think yes. He has set us up for success when we were on the verge of irreparable failure. I don't think anybody could have save us from the hell left behind by our previous administration like Roos has
  12. To be honest everyone on this thread is in a lot of denial, and I like it
  13. He played on one of the premier forwards in the comp. Yes Pavlich may be old, but he is still a great player.
  14. To overtake North would be as good as to make finals. God I hate North. Does anyone know someone who supports them and isn't an absolute [censored]?! If only we beat them earlier this year... So close!
  15. Thank god the dogs are stuck with Boyd and his bazillion dollar contract because the Dogs are exactly the sort of club I could see Jesse going to. Close to a flag, he obviously enjoys playing at Etihad, would get great midfield service, could get a good thing going with Stringer. Really, thank god they stuffed it with Boyd!
  16. Yep this game is hideous. I want my 10 minutes back.
  17. If he goes home to surf with mates he isn't a serious footballer. Freo are a disaster. West Coast don't need him, and he doesn't strike me as someone who wants to compete for top dog claim (which he will have to do playing with Kennedy) He is more likely to leave for another Melbourne team for success and/or money. Since I can't see anyone capable of paying him more than us (not significantly anyway), I hope that he can be confident in our success going forward and stays on. The better we keep playing, the more chances he will stick around.
  18. Bernard Vincent was injured. Salem sick. They used Watts there in the end. Sigh of relief. Hunt and TMac are banned from kicking out IMO!
  19. 5 minutes into the Essendon- St Kilda game, and St Kilda look rubbish!
  20. Why don't we give Grimes more than one game to make that call? Being coached by Neeld didn't stop Jones, Watts, TMac etc from adjusting their game.
  21. I'm not sure how you can compare a 30 minute flight to Tassie, with identical weather conditions, to playing in humidity, heat and having to fly 3 times longer. Hawthorn still play in Tassie because it is easy money, and unlike our deal, actually significantly helps to boost their membership numbers. How many NT folks buy a Demons membership versus Tassie residents buying a Hawks membership? Like comparing Hogan to M. Newton!
  22. I'm still unconvinced, but me and my suspected old-woman hangover will be there next Sunday to experience that awful ground, and that awful opponent. Here is hoping we actually bring in enough fresh players, and play 21 extra players around Hogan, unlike last time.
