Jones looks like he’s carrying an injury. He’s never been fast, but the last few weeks it’s like he’s running in wet cement. I hope he’s injured and it’s not simply a matter of age catching up to him. Oliver is a superb footballer. He’s honestly a genius. His kicking is so good, I’m almost sad when he handballs now. Gus and Gawn did a superb job in the absence of Viney and I love what Fritsch brings to the side. I thought Salem was good too. Frost is good as long as he isn’t touching the ball. He has definitely been told to just shut down his man and that’s it. The one burst he had in the last quarter was great... until he opted to kick the footy. If he continues to do the simple defensive stuff well, he will be fine. But needs to stick to being a defender, coz his attacking play is a major liability. Then again Hibbo can’t hit a target either! Hope Hunty gets back into some form post injury.

Is he doomed to a career hampered by that foot? It’s been an absolute debacle since last year. How can we not get this right?

Amazing weather down here for the game. Literally no excuses. I suppose if we lose, I’ll at least be on a forced outside media ban when I head to China in a couple of days and I can drown my sorrows in pollution and MSG.

Fun Fact: I’m going to miss next week’s game as I’ll be in China. Last time that happened we lost to Collingwood and missed out on finals. It is definitely 100% all our fault!

Why have players on our list for years and years, if we don't play them when the need arises? Sure I would have preferred Kent for some zip, but his hammy blows up every 2 seconds, and he needs conditioning time. As much as finals are on the line, we are not exactly staring at a flag. We have players on our list who we need to find out if they are list cloggers or not. As it stands, we will struggle to clear the necessary amount of players from our list come season's end. We need to find out if some players are worth keeping or not. Stretch did very well last week. Frost did very well last week. JHK may do the same. He may not. But we need to find out one way or another. I still hate Vince and Lewis in the same back half. I hope Vince is in for a tagging role, which in my opinion is where he truly excels. ' I worry about our lack of leg speed again, especially against the Dogs (who pushed us last time due to their speed), and especially at the MCG where we struggle badly for spread. Every game is do or die now. If the players have matured and are serious about success, I would like to see intent and spreading from minute one of the game.

Anyone know when Round 23 fixture is likely to be released? Melbourne v GWS, Sydney v Hawthorn the only 2 games between potential finalists. We are coming off a Sunday game in Perth so you'd think we are unlikely to play earlier than Saturday night. GWS play Saturday the week prior. So I'm thinking either Saturday night or 1:10 Sunday? I reckon Sydney Hawthorn will get the Friday night or Port Essendon.
