I understand that Melbourne supporters are disorientated by finals, but guys, we are actually playing finals. Can we stop talking about hypothetical and frankly idiotic trades, and actually enjoy FINALS?! You have plenty of time to talk trades after finals. FINALS!!!!!

Seriously the anxiety I am feeling waiting for 1pm is a joke. 12 bloody years waiting to see us play finals, and then this debacle. We fork out so much money for these memberships, I'll be really annoyed if we end up with crappy seating in a game that is only meant to reach 80,000 attendance.

Did you need your physical membership card to make the purchase or were they happy to take down the barcodes?

You wouldn’t be eligible to get priority access with those 3 game memberships I don’t think. Even normal memberships are not included I think you have to have a certain level of membership to be eligible. I think this is why we need to put the barcodes in, so the system can tell if you have an eligible membership for pre sale ticket allocation. Perhaps someone on here with a 3 game or interstate membership can confirm? I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a high tiered level of membership so can’t be 100% sure, but I know that’s how it works with other clubs.

So do I. And you’re right not every level of membership gets you guaranteed final ticket access.

It’s to do with the number of tickets each club gets allocated. We have less members and less members with guaranteed finals ticket access. Therefore we get 2 per membership. Tigers would get 1. Even tho they have 100,000 and we have 45,000, the allocation of member priority access seating numbers is the same. I think it’s around 16,000 or so. That’s why the cost of these premium memberships go up the more likely a club is to make finals, as numbers and seat allocations are capped.

I know it won't help you much if you're after an extra MCC ticket, but I'll probably have spare barcodes if you'd like to use them to get your dad a ticket.

I guess they've done it by order of when the games are on, which makes sense. It should have always been staggered. Rich vs Hawks should have been today- members, then MCC, then AFL, then general release, followed by Melb vs Geelong tomorrow and so on. It's really not rocket science is it? I feel like if a 5 year old was in charge of the ticketing system, I would have gotten my tickets and a lollipop by now.

A waste of time. I rescheduled my entire day to be available at 9am to buy tickets. It's now 4pm. I have done a total of 0 things today. What a disgrace.

No you have to pay a processing fee when you buy anything on Ticketek, even if you choose to print the ticket at home yourself. From memory it's $6.99. Spoke to a good friend who is a Sydney supporter. She is in the same boat. Last month she also ended up buying 5 extra tickets to a play because the website told her the order didn't go through, so she tried again and ended up with two transactions being processed. I've tried before to buy concert tickets etc from them, and they are always crashing. You'd think they would figure it out by now!

These pricks should waiver their handling fees on all finals tickets... if they ever get the issue resolved that is.
