Never have I said nor tried to imply that you are any less of a fan, and the 'good for you' is a compliment. I too rarely watch games beyond our own, and have completely stopped caring about what happens outside the four walls of our club. I do get riled up when they're calling Kolt for taking a dive when Zorko hits him without the ball, but it's carry on for Maynard. It does infuriate me that we lose games due to complete umpiring fails time and time again. When you are invested in the outcomes of the club, and the club keeps getting royally [censored] up the [censored], then of course it's hard not to care.

I care that all of last week Steven May was called a cheat and a sook for FAR LESS, and I bet May cares too. I care that I've seen countless players run much further than Rivers and not penalised, but Rivers goal is disallowed again costing us a vital 4 points. Do you, heart on hand, think Daicos would get called for running the same distance? I care that Adelaide was robbed of finals last year because of rubbish goal line technology, and we were robbed a top 2 spot because Acres lied about a touched goal and we had no technology to show that he lied. I agree with much of your response, but unfortunately the above is little consolation when we are likely going to hit peak fitness just as we hit our off season, since we are unlikely to make finals. It might be poor luck or bad management, but there’s no doubt that our fitness has been an issue and moreover our injury management. Rushing in underdone players as one example. I certainly wouldn’t be shocked if we moved on from Selwyn and brought in someone else to run the fitness department

So good to hear Jefferson continues to come along. Another full pre season under his belt and I reckon we will see a bit of him in the seniors next year. Not totally against giving him a taste at the end of the year to really motivate him, if his form continues.

Confidence is a problem for him but he’s a very good contested mark which is impossible to teach. Goal kicking can be fixed. I hope he stays as he’s clearly a very talented player who can play both ends. Just needs a good injury run for once.
