Oliver Trade Rumours
Kane suggesting we need to move Oliver on to get rid of his contract, I believe the word 'desperate' was used, is a total load of BS! I mean if that moron has done any research he'd know that our salary cap is in a good place with Grundy and Gus both gone. As for Tom Morris, he seems to keep wanting to drag our club down. You can suggest that any player with any type of issue is a possible trade option, but this constant need to bring Oliver up in his reporting is boring and tiresome. If either of these tools did a smidge of research and watched the Kosi doco, then would they have really come to the conclusion that we desperately want Clarry gone or that we are even open to discussing trading him? Like really? What next, Melbourne is desperate to move Trac on because his spleen is no good? The lack of total accountability from any fool with 2 braincells in the media is baffling.

Oliver Trade Rumours
He certainly triggers his female colleagues. Just ask them 🙄 Oliver is going nowhere while Goodwin is our coach. I know some on here would love a two for one trade deal and to get rid of both, but it’s not happening. Kane told me Kosi was going home to SA. Turns out his home is in WA and he signed a 4 year deal with us instead. Credibility = 0.

binman’s rant (Goody defence)
I’m sure most die hard fans were gutted that the 2021 flag was won interstate, I know I was and still feel a little robbed of the experience I always imaged when I dreamt of winning a flag. But that is not on Goodwin, and I feel like subconsciously a lot of our fans take that bitterness out on him, like Covid was his fault and border closures were his fault. Some coaches have been coaching their clubs much longer for a lot less success. Hell I don’t see Swans fans complaining because Longmire has lost four grand finals. Bigger picture is that Goodwin has the players. Jackson aside we haven’t lost a single top talent that we wanted to keep while he’s been the senior coach. We signed our stars to long term deals, we kept Kosi, we got May and Lever and Langdon who ultimately delivered us a flag. This is a very big part of being a successful coach, having the trust and confidence of the players. Getting more assistants or better tacticians is easy, getting a senior coach who delivers that message and is heard, is a totally different story. The players adore Goodwin and that is all that matters to me. Everything else in terms of game plans and tactics is changeable.

The Run Home
No. He won’t play again this year. We need to forget that fantasy.

2024 Injury List
Well I personally think he will come back, but I know people who would tell you it’s a possibility that he won’t.

2024 Injury List
I’m worried that it’s because there are no guarantees of when he will return next year.

Trade Targets
I will eat my shoe if Clarry goes anywhere. He doesn't want to leave, and Melbourne won't trade him while he continues to behave off the field.

Judd McVee - Future Melbourne Champion
He’s the best thing to come out of Covid (except working from home). Went under the radar due to injury and also little to no exposure in junior levels. Picked up as a rookie. A rookie! I reckon he will be in the top 10 players in his draft year right now.

The real state of the game
I still don’t understand what Bedford is suspended for? At best that’s a free for in the back. And somehow Maynard got 0 weeks. Just F off AFL!

Kozzie Pickett - 100 games
If we could duplicate him so we can have one up forward and one in the midfield at all times, that would be great. He's too good at both roles. Just so damaging. His evasive skills, but also his vision when he plays up the field is up there with the best mids in the game.

I thought we had their third round? Either way their second round will be quite a late one

He may well retire especially if he has another calf injury. Not sure how we fill all the list space we are likely to have, especially as we don’t currently hold a second round pick. At the very least we will have spots left by Gus, Smith and a retiring Ben Brown (can’t see him getting another contract). Schache is unlikely to have his contract renewed. Then you have Tomlinson as well, and that’s not even taking into account that Tmac may retire (hopefully not, but he was set to retire heading into this season), plus other delistings such as Hunter. Given we rarely pick beyond round 3 of the draft, we will need to find some decent free agents or get some trades happening to fill those vacancies. At least we have debuted plenty of youngsters this season to allow us to make some good calls on their future. I was sure AMW would be delisted, but he’s proved me totally wrong!

The only thing that may work in his favour is that we already will have a large list turnover. They may keep him on if he’s willing to take a small contract, as we do lack depth in the midfield. He is not a bad depth player, but culturally he’s a liability.

I’ve heard very similar and I don’t read BigFooty. Hard to see him retained on the list beyond this season.

He should be getting 6 touches a quarter at that level, at a minimum, while playing midfield.
