  1. Great article. Really interesting and a very important point about the change at board level having been handled so well when in previous years it would have imploded us.
  2. Oh no don't worry, when it comes to the money making machine that is the AFL, everything will run like a smooth military operation. Just like hubs did last year. It's only when the lives of everyday people is at risk, that nobody gives a flying f
  3. The AFL would have never made us forfeit the game even if said player was at the nightclub at 4am. The actions of an individual, no matter how poor, cannot be held up against an entire club. Just like when the Tigers players breached quarantine hub rules last year, the club was fined and they were sent home, but nobody lost premiership points. See also Harley Bennell. The player in question did nothing wrong. They were at a cafe before clubs were told to isolate all their players. We cannot punish players for having a life. They are not robots. They go into the community like everyone else, and it is not against any rules. Bitter Bulldogs fans and flogs on SEN are not the people to ask about this.
  4. Agreed. Not sure why anyone would boo him. We offered him 2 years, he wanted 3. We said you're not worth that, he said ok. We move on. Nobody here did anything wrong. Like Kent he was within his rights to try and get himself a better deal knowing he was a fringe player with a dodgy body. Can't begrudge him that.
  5. Surely if our cases remain low, Brisbane can get an exemption from the QLD government. Charter flight to Melbourne Friday AM. Straight to hotel/training. Straight to MCG (likely no crowds). Fly directly home after the game on a charter flight. Where is the risk in that?
  6. Tell you what, 1 ''pupil free day'' and trying to work from home, and I am looking forward to yelling at some umpires tonight... and a large glass bottle of wine.
  7. Why does it matter who the player in question was? He did nothing wrong, and like 14,000 other people in Victoria right now has found himself at the wrong place at the wrong time. You want a full list of names and occupations of everyone who was at a tier 1 exposure site? He must be annoyed enough that he nearly got an AFL game called off and that he now can't train or do his rehab at the club for 14 days, pushing his case for recovery back. He has suffered more than enough.
  8. They just don't want to admit that the stadium is a dump and the roof being open makes it that much worse. Advantage Bulldogs here. They love to play in sterile environments with no wind.
  9. Is it just me, or with everything else going on in Victoria the last 3 days, this game has sort of dropped off to the back of the mind? I was pumped about it last week, but maybe it is also my MFCSS. I am fully preparing myself for a big loss tonight.
  10. I think not playing Brown is a mistake. Also Melksham has more lives than a cat.
  11. Ah football. The cause of and solution to all of life’s problems.
  12. Good to know. Not like it matters. I’ll be at home anyway ?
  13. Wait the game is at 7 now? I thought it was 7:50pm
  14. Christ on a stick what a total mess. Covid is a rude biatch. Doesn’t she know we are 9-1. Doesn’t she care? Must be a Collingwood supporter.
  15. 100% it’s one of the bars in Chapel Street. I knew this season was going too well.
  16. Media conference at 11. Seven day lockdown. Welcome back to hell caused by the utter incompetence of multiple governments. Hooray.
  17. Melbourne players and club in isolation. A player has been to an exposure site. Game may not go ahead. Get. [censored].
  18. 20 cases and the season is off? Come on everyone needs to take a chill pill. We are not in June 2020.
  19. Could do with a demolition job.
  20. It’s our home game so should be moved to the G. It’s free Friday night. [censored] playing them at the Gabba.
  21. So they said we can go and yet tickets don’t appear to be available. What’s the deal? Game is in two days.
  22. Why would they not be allowed into the state? If other states are Covid free there is really no issue with them returning. Besides they will be told to stay in a bubble and test. AFL clubs are really easy to control. It’s the community that’s the problem.
