  1. I wasn’t aware Chris Scott is both an AFL coach and the chief health officer.
  2. And please no injuries!
  3. My boy JJ is back!
  4. Absolute disgrace. Hope they appeal. Nothing in that tackle.
  5. What a game for Tmac to miss. Absolute crap.
  6. I’ve told everyone in my household that they have just 2 hours and 15 minutes left in the day to annoy me. After 8pm I do not exist and they must not come into my eyesight. Lockdown is hard man!
  7. No doubt Geelong will benefit again. Being their home game a small crowd means all Geelong… and that’s if they even let people from metro Melbourne attend.
  8. This day could not be going any slower if it tried! Lockdown is not helping the situation.
  9. Given the weather it's not the worst out. I would suggest bringing in JJ and playing a smaller forwardline with Jackson spending more time at CHF.
  10. This and Hipwood's injury on the eve of finals is precisely why we need to keep Weideman. When Hogan went down before finals in 2018, Weid stepped up in finals and played a role. With Martin also injured, the Dogs are now going to rely on Ugle Hagen to step up, which is not fair for a first year player, or will need to rob their midfield by pushing English into the forwardline. It is a bad situation for them, and just proves how important quality key position depth is.
  11. Why would we choose to fly on the red eye? That is a flight only taken by people who want to save money 😂
  12. Well that’s ridiculous. AFL can’t afford to fund another night in a hotel? Or are WA such bitter [censored] they’re demanding we leave immediately?
  13. I am already stocked up with wine and toilet paper for lockdown 7.0 and 8.0
  14. The quarantine factor could go one of two ways. Flat, exhausted, missing family. Excited, bonded, focused. Sydney has been really good at dealing with long term hubs and time away from their families. Brisbane absolutely smashed it last night. Given they are heading home tomorrow straight back to a city in lockdown, a week away from family wouldn't be too taxing on most and would give the new dads some much needed uninterrupted sleep.
  15. A big problem with this outbreak is the area it is in. The high risk settings we have already had exposures in. The low uptake of vaccinations and rule following in those suburbs and the fact that we've had a lot of random waste water detection and absolutely no links to how or where these outbreaks started. They will be very cautious. I can't see us not being in lockdown for the full 14 days.
  16. Finals are different tho. I think the Victorian government is desperate not to lose the finals two years in a row. We’ve already lost so many big events. It’s ripping the soul out of our city. But you’re probably right and also no chance lockdown ends on Thursday. It’s always 14 days. Always. I dunno why they give us false hope.
  17. I really dislike the Dogs and their cheating throwing umpire- loving ways, and I also don’t like Bruce, but gees that is awful awful luck and I wouldn’t wish that on any player.
  18. Definitely a Sunday. We’ve had our 5 day break leading into the Port game and the AFLPA are very strong on only one 5 day break per team this season. It will probably be a 3:20pm at the MCG given we don’t fly home until tomorrow, and then Saturday night prime time vs Geelong in the last round. Fair to say there will not be any crowds allowed in before finals 😭
  19. A golden opportunity for revenge after the Prelim humiliation. Let’s show the world how far we’ve come since then and why 2021 is different to 2018. We need to start off strongly to shut their dumb booing fans out. A Monday night, rain and poor form hopefully means a less than full house.
  20. A role player that every good premiership team has.
  21. Look there’s nothing surer than us blowing up this incredible opportunity we’ve been handed. #MelbournedoingMelbournethings
  22. That is a massive blow for them. Suddenly it’s down to Naughton to carry the forwardline. He’s an excellent forward but that’s a lot of pressure against the best defenses come finals.
  23. They are dropping like flies after a long season with full length games. But if they can pull off an injury free run from here on in they can absolutely win it. They don’t have anymore travel now either which really helps. They are mature and experienced and that always helps in finals. They know how to win it. The closest we got with this squad is a smashing in a Prelim.
  24. You know the Bont is winning the Brownlow just by how much the umpires love and protect him
  25. Did Bruce just do his knee?
