I hate the knee jerk reactions the powers to be have when a certain game style is played. From year to year the game styles change and every year Bloody Bartlett and his mates try to tinker with the game.

I know it sounds nutty but I remember Grant thomas having several captains when St kilda were on the rise. At the time they didn't have an obvious leader and I thought it was ridiculous but on field they now have hayes,reiwoldt and Goddard who are all leaders. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad an idea until we have an obvious captain.

On the first point I am sick of us having "Statement games" Remember the Friday night game against Essendon? We had to make a statement. Then a week after Geelong we had to make a statement and so on. The word "Statement" and "Development" are two words I don't want to hear in 2012. But please don't get me wrong I like your enthusiasm. On the point of future announcements care to elaborate?

I really hope we have Mick signed up. Not so much because it's Mick but more for the fact that there may not be any available coaches the way things are going. I might just add assistant coach to my resume i'm sure a club will give me a call.

I really am sick of looking at four million websites to try and find the latest news on who our coach is. I hate the fact that an opinion is thrown up from healy,sheehan,Ox,sportsnewsfirst,my mum and the milkman (Stay away from my mum milkman!!) and it is taken as truth when nobody seems to know much at all. Everyone is telling us what they think and it is reported as fact and a lot of people including myself get sucked in everytime.
