I don't care if 1 or 100,000 rock up. I'll be there to support the club AND because I enjoy going.I can't understand how people will go to a game only if the result is set in stone before the game. If you just want to see a team win buy a Manchester United membership.

Good was me tossing the coin. Bad was everything after the toss of the coin. Ugly was Garland being out bodied by rioli!

Agree with all points you make and especially the last point.

Bailey ,Roos, Malthouse or Clarkson?
cowboy_from_hell replied to GRUN DEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
Does anyone really think Hawthorn will let Clarkson go or clarkson would leave a potential top 4 four team to come and coach Melbourne? I'm sorry but this poll is unrealistic. If it's a "who would you want to coach Melbourne" then fine. But let's get back in the real world. -
I was too young to see sean wight play but i just watched the tribute to Sean. What a player! from what I just watched there is nothing he couldn't do. His courage through the air was amazing.

While Davey's form pre injury wasn't the greatest he wasn't getting much help having not one target to kick to whenever he recieved the ball down back and then the sideways and backwards kick would start and then a turnover and.....you know the rest. My point is blokes like Davey off the half back line look really good in a well organised team.

During the week and pre game on SEN I heard Dermy say that Melbourne's style of play is great to watch and makes other teams look good with their rebounding football as well but our game plan would not hold up against good teams. After the last two weeks from the Dees I thought Dermy was a [censored] but I hate to admit it he was spot on. I wasn't at the game so I just want to know if we were even trying to hold the ball in the forward 50 and why we constantly kept bombing the ball into the goalsquare. I love Colin Sylvia and Watts but they aren't going to take 20 contested marks between them.

All Hail Captain Maximus Gawn!

Love the purple pride of Minnesota!

always loved the way he goes about his footy should be in the 22 every week.

If there is a calf problem with Jurrah he should be rested for a couple of weeks. If he isn't injured then he should be dropped to Casey for the lazy effort he put in today.
-
I'm no coach but on the way back from the footy tonight I couldnt help think that Jurrah needs a rest or time at Casey. He doesn't lead, chase or tackle. With the mighty Russian ready to return would it be a dumb idea to have him play out of the forward line with Maximus and Stef doing the ruck duties?

JDS - Class bloke, class boxing skills, I'm backing him against Cain. Just think he's a good chance to tag him early and put him away. I like both Dos Santos and Velasquez though, will be a ripper fight whatever happens. Carwin - his heart is massive, the beating he took overshadowed that fact that he held back that whole fight, what was he doing? Was like a heavywheight version of Penn v Edgar. JDS dominated, Carwin showed heart, decent main event, but was hoping for something more epic. Couldn't agree more. JDS is a great guy and I did really like Cain but I will be going for Junior. Carwin was really rusty and Junior was throwing some crisp punches and kept his distance really well. If Carwin could have connected a couple of times it would have been a different story.

Casey Scorpions v Coburg Tigers

how is sam blease progressing? -
I agree. Jack isn't/won't be a one trick pony and I think that he will be talked about in terms of where he should play through his whole career. His endurance and ability to read the play makes you think that he should play up the ground but as he thickens up his ability to take a contested mark will make many think he should be in the goal square. Sounds a bit like the Nick riewoldt argument the Saints are having.

Best reply I have ever seen on any forum!

if anything i thought lloyd would understand the emotions of winning a game like that how easy these commentators forget about their playing days.

I love Jared Rivers in the backline

B.O.G for rivers last night! -
I Don't think that's possible while we continue to support our club through memberships and attending games. If we don't then no doubt we could end up like north melbourne.

Supporting the MFC has taught me one thing. No expectations means no disappointments. I really didn't think 2011 would be such a disaster. I was hoping to be posting threads on how far away the top 4 is for us or dare I say it how far away is a flag. But 2011 is done and dusted for us I think. So for the rest of this year and next year I'm having no expectations i'm just going to go to the footy and see what happens. Bad luck to flash and the rest of the list who are all injured.

Your right. My problem with the watts decision was they took a forward out and time after time we didn't have any target up forward. Maybe I'm too old school when I think I would love to see how watts would go one on one playing deep in the forward line. I know he has great stamina and play all over the ground but if Jurrah is going to play up the ground (Which makes no sense to me) then keep watts one out in the forward line.
