  1. Wikipedia - Early life[edit] Elliott lived in Dongara, Western Australia before his family moved to Queensland. His father died when he was a teenager and his family moved to Euroa, Victoriawhere he played for the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup. In 2011, he was invited to play two games for Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL).[2]
  2. Josh Mahoney chat this morning on Trade radio https://mde.whooshkaa.com/show/9121/episode/441739.mp3 Im a fan of this trade but my gut feel(FWIW) after watching & listening to him after his chat at Collingwood yesterday is that he will stay there.
  3. "One of these is Adelaide key defender Alex Keath. Keath started the year in what was bordering on All Australian form before probably tailing off a little in the second half of the season, but still appears to be a quality option in that part of the ground", quote. https://www.theroar.com.au/2019/08/27/all-cake-no-icing-three-offseason-strategies-to-fix-the-dreadful-demons/
  4. Melkshem is one of our better finishers and will make a difference up forward once he returns (Hopefully only a few weeks after the bye!) Go Dees??? B658BC78-E5C3-414D-8C32-4E6846DB0FF5.mp4
  5. One of the positives to come out of the 'Year we had to Have' is the new game style that is more defensive based. We have only been playing this style 3-4 games, hence IMHO this is what Harmes was referring to. Even though we had a good run in the finals last year, the prelim & the first few games of 2019 our game style, as we all know, was so easy to score against. Without the form & injury disaster that has been 2019, would we have adopted this new plan 'B' that will hold up better in finals??
  6. It’s on now. Steve May speaks so well. Gawn is always a laugh
  7. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-02-15/misson-enters-his-final-chapter Will be interesting to see the eventual new fitness setup
  8. The Flip side is that they were all carrying these injuries into matches hence limiting performance in some way. It may take 3-4? games to get our best team on the park but at least they may all be in a physically better place by the pointy end of the season. Go Dees!
  9. 100% agree. He has a steely resolve and love the quality of the person. His potential is huge considering the Talent he has around him at the MFC this year. He has mentioned in the past how he'd love to play in the style of Alex Rance but was limited due to the young backline at the Suns. How exciting!
  10. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.ntnews.com.au/sport/afl/territorian-steven-may-confident-his-playing-future-at-afl-club-melbourne-includes-kicking-goals/news-story/de57529834cdc6af1e5c7ca613c8f4b4 Love the potential of this.
  11. Dunstall sat there on quietly on fox footy post match whilst the Roosy and King talked us up. I thought he was stewing that Dees would be up against his beloved Hawks next week. Then he said that was the toughest MFC outfit he had seen in the 20 years as a footy commentator!
  12. Yeh it was almost as if the umpires were getting one back for being played with at the Cattery in rnd18! How proud are we of the boys tonight, just sensational! Go Dees!
  13. George was at the door at Chasers, Great memories! Crinitis pizza in Carlton is expensive but sensational (Frankie Fingers with gorgonzola!) Otherwise Torino's Special in Heidelberg!
  14. Agree. I saw the Tyson xray post op (this is similar https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/fracture-bones-forearm-orthopedic-surgeon-operated-582434254) Just cant see them risking him yet. Hannan/Viney/Smith gives us more defensive/goals/grunt than JKH/Tyson/Kent Just great to have options & depth at this time of year! Go Dees!
  15. Tyson has a fracture of the ulna a couple of inches up from the wrist. It has been screwed and plated. Outside chance to be fit for first final. Kent injured his R/H ac joint (opposite side to the one reconstructed last year). The collarbone is slightly displaced. No news re; 1) which of the 3 possibilities below if any (diagram downloaded from Dr Google) or 2) recovery time.
  16. The AFL chose the MFC elimination final for Friday night football. They chose the brand that plays the most exciting football for their premier AFL audience. Gee things have changed! Go Dees!
  17. Firstly we are lucky to live in a country we’re we can have an opinion, be safe and have a great life. As far as ‘barracking & supporting’ a sporting team as humans the spectrum will vary from those whom it is their lives 24/7 to those who just provide token support. Unfortunatley in this current world with Social Media some negative posts have a lot more affect on individuals & management within a Club than they ever had before, hence the exploding issues with mental health of players at clubs. IMHO this is what Goodwin was referring to.
  18. Hogan 2018 season over with foot/ankle injury sustained during game on Sunday.(Navicular bone) Maybe announced this arvo To some posters, got to be careful what you wish for……
  19. Unfortunately I agree but hope this is not the case
  20. The wrist slashing is amazing and unfortunately predictable on Demonlogy. Lost Lever = massive team balance issues. Our hardness yesterday especially the first Qtr I have not seen in a MFC team for long time if not ever. Viney getting back to his best, Melksham working through being tagged, Tyson in didn’t work so let’s now try Garlett in? Other opportunities? Port will not have so many things fall there way at the MCG.
  21. In addition, a large percentage of those 910k viewers would be from a non footy demographic. Hence exposing the club to new potential members & sponsors especially if/when they looked at the ladder and observed we were ‘up there’.
  22. So true! This also gives us the flexibility to ease Viney back in without unrealistic expectations for someone returning from a career threatening injury.
