Love Stringer but after the events of the last couple of days the recruiters might be after a bit more outside pace instead of a heavy body. Toumpas at 4 would be awesome, O'Rourke another possibility. I'd like Kennedy but he will probably fall somewhere in the no man's land between our pick 4 and the next pick we end up with.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN

Awesome. But hypothetically Hogan actually isn't at the MFC yet is he? -

Why is this renamed 'Welcome to the MFC' etc, couldn't it still eventuate that GC use MD pick one on Hogan if they change their mind? -
Hi guys, I have recently taken up surfing and I was wondering whether there are any others on this board who enjoy a surf. I usually head down to Torquay/Anglesea as I find the waves are usually pretty good for beginners there. Can anyone recommend any other beaches relatively close to Melbourne that are good for beginner/intermediate surfers? Cheers.

Might be silly but Punt Road couldn't happen could it?

I don't think I can hate someone who has never done anything bad to us... I almost feel sorry for them after the Scully debacle. Almost...

How about we don't use pick 13 on either of these guys, neither of them are worth that. I'd much prefer say Kennedy or Stringer at pick 13 in the draft, and I have faith that we can get Dawes without parting with a pick this high. Pretty sure he said Caddy was a culture damager, and he is right. The guy is a [censored] and apparently many of the GC guys, Ablett especially, are happy to be rid of him.
-
We can get both and we should. Pick 3 for Hogan and pick 20, on trade pick 20 for Dawes. With Dawes and Clark next year our forward line becomes more potent straight away and then when Hogan arrives in 2014 we have a dangerous attack (hopefully).
-
So far it looks as if Cooks development is going backwards, so I can't see him coming close to the player Dawes is. Plus it looks like Dawes has about 53kg on him.
-
Add no one to the forward line - no room for Lucas. I think it's pretty clear he doesn't have a spot at the MFC considering he has been playing Casey 2nds and hasn't cracked a senior game in two years.

Not usually a fan of your work Olisik but I like this. 3 for Hogan and 20, and then 20 for Dawes sounds pretty darn good. -
Surprised he hasn't been offered a job at the Herald Sun.

Wellingham/Dawes super trade (scuppered)

Dawes alone is not worth 13. If that were to happen at some stage we'd have to recieve a late pick as well - we picked up Clark with 12 ffs, Dawes isn't anywhere near the player Clark has been. -
So we should just forget about him. There are many, many ways pick 13 could be better spent.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY

Lol I'd much rather just take Jack at 3 if it were to come to that. Wasn't it Quayle who was certain they would bid a couple of days ago? Something must have happened... a deal perhaps? -
I'd say if there were some serious talent/experience on the table in the form of a top line midfielder, use pick 4 on that. But seeing as there probably won't be, my preferred result would be Toumpas at 3 and Hogan/Martin (MD) for 4. Pick 13 definitely Stringer if he is available. Failing that, Kennedy or Wines.

I definitely think capping the rotations is the key to getting rid of this rugby crap. Keep the three and one, cap the rotations and the effect should be a more open game as players will be instructed to keep more to their 'positions', therefore saving energy for the latter stages of the game.

I doubt Neeld is the kind of guy to let personal friendship affect decisions in his workplace. I think his assessment of Dawes is probably a lot more accurate than yours Bluey, having coached and worked with him directly for a number of years. I'd trust Neeld to make the call that Dawes will add a lot to our side. To add to that, Magner and Couch (not so much at senior level yet) are two of the best rookie listed players we have picked up in the last few years IMO, so he's doing better than the Bailey camp so far.

Range Rover, why didn't you start a poll? -
Why would he go during trade period, isn't Young a RFA?
-
Offer him 4 years on 400k, definitely worth it. Young is exactly the player we need, even more do because he comes from such a successful side.

Rangey you're back! -
Wonder how many guys we'd have in the top 650?

Lol.... how would taking the hardest guy and best inside mid in the draft, not to mention a great leader, at pick 3 be deemed a failure? -
Surely if we received pick 5 for Moloney and Rivers the universe would break?
