WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CAMERON PEDERSEN
Little Richard replied to Hannibal's topic in Melbourne Demons
If the second round pick is used you'd think we'd recieve a later one back from North considering they gave up McIntosh for 35. -
Haha sorry I can't help
-
I could bring along a camera for delayed coverage but I have no idea how to set up a live stream.
-
Surely not, Sheahan was unlucky to get a game in the firsts this year. Played well most games at Casey.
-
Because apparently he shows 'promise'.
-
No idea why you would assume that Leigh Williams will be delisted. Looked pretty good when he was out there and considering he suffered a very serious illness he didn't have much of a shot at it. Definitely a keep for mine, especially if he has signed a 2 year rookie contract as per usual.
-
The spot has to be Wade's to lose, can't see how Haddin can justify taking the spot back for a year or whatever (wouldn't be much longer at his age).
-
Yes some people really seemed to go overboard when he played his first passable game in the seniors this year. I see him as a genuine list clogger but I do hope he can turn it up a few notches next year and prove me wrong.
-
Yeah... doubt that would happen considering they have Lonergan, Taylor and Mitch Brown. I'm tipping Rivers will play some very good footy for Geelong as a third or fourth defender.
-
Have always loved your work Jared, best wishes for the future and I'm sure you'll be a great player for the GFC.
-
Maybe on a resting ruckman or when he was dragged down there but I can't see him spending most of a game down there, we need him in the ruck.
-
Sorry thaipantsman but Jamar doesn't have a defensive bone in his body. Couldn't see him doing anything useful down back as he is pretty damn slow and not nearly athletic enough to be able to run with an opposition kpf.

Latest murmurings of a crazy time

Would be fantastic if we snatched Clint Young at the 11th hour. He would add a lot of the pace and foot skills that we are lacking. -
Rush will still be on his honeymoon I think

I brought this up a little while ago and apparently it was just a strain, he was seen running laps freely the week after. -

Bit of a long stretch but I don't think it would matter too much. The MFC don't get enough people to games to make themselves heard. Might change next season though. Ps if we get Pedersen I hope people don't end up shouting 'Pedo' or something along those lines.
-
Jeez, struggling to see you all the way up there on that high horse of yours B-H!
-
I hadn't really thought about that to be honest. I'm thinking more along the lines of if we were to get Pedersen, Clark might be used in more of a dual role (although I'd really want him to stay near the fwd 50). On top of that we have got Spencer, Fitzpatrick and Gawn. All of these guys are fairly capable and can be good back up for Jamar. The way I see it is Jamar isn't going anywhere and he and Martin don't fit into the same side, so we trade Martin while he is still relatively young and has some currency.
-
Trade Martin, especially if we are able to get Pedersen. Possibly even a three way deal where we involve another club with an appropriate pick(s). He is surplus at this stage. If need be we can rookie a mature age ruckman from a state league as cover.
-
Gysberts is definitely a keep at this stage, especially with the emphasis on talls lately we need his services in the middle.
-
Some interesting points, I think one of our biggest needs is another small, tough and accountable defender, ie another Bartram just for those teams with a couple of dangerous small forwards. I think Garland does well on them much of the time but quite often I see some of the small guys get away from him a bit and I think he performs better on talls anyway.

Can't wait to see him in the red and blue. It's fantastic that we have Neeld coaching, who will know how to get the best out of him. As well as that it is unique that we have a guy coaching who played with him too, and I reckon Brown will be able to provide an insight into Dawes' strengths and weaknesses that Neeld doesn't have. I totally believe we have the guys that can bring out the best in him on the field.
