Agree BB59 but I just hope it hits them damm hard cause it would be nice for all our October optimism to be backed up in the season proper by the players (unlike the last 4 years)

Well done Beamer. Love this guy and bleeds red and blue. Met him a few times now and is always happy to talk. Hopefully has a stand out 2012 along with allot of other Dees.

Jordie hope you are right and while I am not overly excited by this coaching duo I am happy to put my faith in GL and the Dees selection group.

No Malthouse has said he is gone immediately.

It would have been nice just for once for the Dees to land a "Big Fish" instead of another "no name" type coach. (When I told my wife who was our coach she said WHO just like we both did when Bailey was appointed, hopefully its not a sign!!)

RB I hope you are bloody right. If Craig or another former senior coach is assisting I will breath a bit easier. I just hope next season after a loss we dont have to hear (especially cause we were fed so much BS this year after games) that "the players are getting used to a new game plan" and we a r young and developing. I have heard that enough lately.

BB i think the point by some posters me included are making is that when this process started the Dees came out and said we want a senior experienced coach. When you hear that and then get an appointment of another untired coach this is where the frustration comes from for me anyway.

Please someone convince me that we should be going dowm the UNTRIED coach AGAIN. I want to through my laptop through the window at the moment and just yelled at the dog! PLEASE CONVINCE ME this is a good idea after our past coaching flop?

GL didnt confirm it Barrett asked him (to confirm that he offerred a 6 year deal to clarkson) and he just continued saying what he was talking about at the time and never confirmed it Barrett said "yes" but GL kept talking and ignored it.

Really who cares and I think the show you r referring to is AFL Teams.

If Burns/Craig is right then surely we would find out when the Weagles lose the prelim or hopefully this week? At least we will find out within a week or two and do not have to wait for the entire season again.
