I don’t know if Scully will stay or go, however, there is NO WAY Scully would hold a press conference and blatantly lie saying that he has not spoken to GWS if he had already signed a contract. He would just say nothing and avoid the questions... the same as every other out of contract player does.

Great way to kill off the smaller clubs. Teams who struggle for a few years in a 2nd division league will be GAWN! Unable to generate crowds, unable to get a TV audience, unable to get top line sponsors, unable to retain top players and finally unable to pay their bills!

Even if a team is "A-Grade" does not mean every player in it is an "A-Grade" player. Good teams have a mixture of different players with usually only a few truly elite. Good teams have hard players that bust their gut every week and inspire teammates through their determination. They may not be the best skilled but you know what you are getting from them and can always rely on them to play their role. They are essential to success. Nathan Jones will be this player for us.

I don't understand why people think that Scully would not want to stay at Melbourne? Apart for chasing some extra money from GWS there is no other reason to leave. Melbourne is a great club with a great history, great facilities, a great president, great supporters, a great home ground and a great list. Why would he be searching for complex reasons to get to Collingwood or Richmond?

Is Blease injured? I notice he is not on the injury list but in the "Pick your Best 22" it states he is injured.

Agree, however saying that he has "had one reasonable game the rest have been poor" since the start of 2010 is just not correct.

I like Jones and would hate to see him traded. He is one of the few players that gives his all week in week out. Melbourne now more than ever needs players like this.

I completely understand the reasons for wanting to drop him and any other week I think I would agree, however, I just really hate Carlton and badly want to win on Friday night. If there is a chance with all the criticism this week that Aaron comes out and has a blinder, lets his football to the talking, and Melbourne steal a famous win. I want to take that chance.

I understand your point and I think it is valid to a degree, however those stats are skewed by Boomers 308 games. If you take him out of the equation then it is: Melbourne - Average Games: 60.00 North - Average Games: 66.86
