The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

Use of the AFL logo would be unwise if not affiliated... -
Is that you Horse? Dogs played better footy. Deal with it.

Big games in big finals shapes a players reputation, Boyd did well today, Hogan yet to have the opportunity to earn his stripes. We'll see. -
Why didn't you say that in the first place...? Given them the pick!

True. I'm hoping the difference is that Tyson is a much lower profile player and was not speculated to be considering leaving the MFC... -

Speculation pointless till after GF as we wouldn't announce it this week, even if he'd signed. Fingers crossed it's done in lead up to trade period, next week. -
Brissie will come good. I like that there are now four teams up North in the non-footy states. They are in a down cycle after experiencing an up cycle... big deal, that's footy. They need to develop the game and players up North rather than rely on recruits from South or West. Thats what they were established to do, but lost focus on in their glory days. When they re-focus on developing their club, the game and local talent, they'll come around again...

If true, one can feel the free air, momentum and focus it would give the club going into the pre-season and Round 1 2017. It would also increase the possibility of our being able to lure a big fish, should one become available and of interest over the next month. If true. -
23 years old, and I reckon he's yet to hit his best footy, in a good midfield he will be a reliable A grade player. Great work on resigning Dom! Bring it on!!!
-
I was thinking that too. Watts has improved a lot in that area and Petracca's ok, Jeff on his day is great... Weed not sure. Which leaves Hoges and Motlop...
-
Motlop, Petracca, Garlett, Watts, Hogan, Wiedeman in forward line with several able to rotate through the midfield feels like an improvement. We scorer a lot out the back so another speed forward would cause oppositions issues...
-
Melksham, Hibberd, Motlop would all be top 22 players based on their past evidence, which to my mind equals us improving. They also add experience and fill the 24-26 age group where we are poorly represented. Which is good.

Other clubs playing "Hell's Bells" pre-bounce...annoying or not?

We invented the game of football, pioneered the woman's comp... which they've all copied, I reckon we can cope with them taking on that song. Burden of leadership. -

I've decided it's all a cunning ruse by the MFC and Hogan to lure Freo into offering Fyfe for Hogan, at which point Hogan re-signs with Melbourne, and we then take Fyfe as a free agent next year, before storming to win the 2018 Premiership... Boom. -
Quite enjoyed "Reservoir Dogs" so a yes from me.

Hey Stuie, just because someone else has an opinion you don't agree with doesn't make them misguided or even wrong. There can actually be many opinions or viewpoints on a topic and value in just exploring them rather than seeing them as an attack on our own sense of righteousness...
-
Another stat for you Stuie Brent Harvey - Brownlow votes - 187. 15 in 2014, 4 in 2015, ? in 2016. Dent Kent - Brownlow votes - 0. 0 in 2014, 0 in 2015, ? In 2016... just the same really.

He'll help us knock over Norf next year for starters. And maybe he can explain to the boys how to win at Docklands...

Of course he has the right. But if he has one iota of awareness he'll know that delaying his decision, exercising his "right" is damaging to the club and Goodwins ability to make a success of season 2017. Its part of the parcel that goes with being a highly paid "champion in the making". You need to take responsibility for the impact you have on the team you are playing for (and who's paying you)... -

I don't think a new coach of a club with our history can afford to have the "Hogan stay-go" circus run into the 2017 season. If Hogan himself can not see this, and decide now, then it's pretty clear he's not got the MFC's interests at heart and which way he'll go at end of 2017...
