We had a bye in both seniors and reserves
-
Yeah condemned. i was there as well. the boundary umpire was right next to it, and did nothing about it. Similar to the Goodes incident. Another gutless act against one of our players

Petterd picks up NAB Rising Star nomination Well deserved Ricky !!!! Jones and Frawley to come

Ash, in the press conference as I remember it, Daniher commented about our poor kicking as the reason for our loss. The umpiring came up as a question directed to him. He made a comment that their positioning should have been better, with a particular reference to the Neitz puish in the back Little harsh to be picking on Neale, when its a common occurance every week that coaches have a go at the umps - i notice that Sheedy got a please explain this week as well, and has been making his comments for years Occo, I say that i'd kill for a coffee, or that i'm so hungry i could eat a horse, all the time. I mean neither of them. Considering the timing of Harcourt's post straight after the match, I think he's allowed a little bit of venting.

I've never seen anything that extreme. A 100 point lead in the second quarter !!!!!
-
I agree that Miller was particularly ineffective today, but i think we're all being a little short sighted. He's had a decent year, and if 1 bad game results in demotion, then everyone in our team should have been dropped at one stage or another. Is Newton competing with Miller for a spot? I'm not convinced we can go in with a forward line of Neitz, Miller, Dunn and Newton.

Saw a lot of 2007 membership scarves in the MCC today, but your right, still have plenty more who need to sign up. My point is though, I don't think today's crowd can be blamed on MCC. Where are all the MFC members? We have 27,000 of em.
-
Didn't look good, was very late. Umpire was right there though, and thought a 50m penalty was sufficient.
-
Agree with most, but thought Dunn had a pretty good job in the second half. Kept Chad Cornes quiet after he dominated the first half
-
Don't have a go at the MCC members. At least we turned up.
-
So Richmond are conceding the season already. I wonder if any Melbourne players should be worried. Holland and Brown must be getting nervous.

17,682 or 17,681 ... i'm not sure if i'm going just yet

I agree its not fair to judge ND on 2007 form, due to injuries. Judge him solely from his other 9 years at the club. Thanks for the memories Neale, but its time to move on
-
Sounds like a solid source
-
I can't see the board giving ND another year, despite the current injuries crisis curtailing our season If we are to get a new coach, it will either be a coach with a history of some success (eg. Pagan), or an experienced assistant (eg. Longmire, Harvey) I'm assuming our board is not silly enough to choose a past player to jump straight into the role without any experience

For what its worth, I really hope that Garland plays well tomorrow - heaven knows we need some decent key position players coming through But I think the selection committee got this one wrong. I'd take the 4 points, over giving game time to a player that hasn't earned the jumper yet. Holland or Bizzell should have been played ahead of Garland, especially considering it looks as though its gonna be one scrappy affair. One player debuting is enough.

Yeah, makes me feel uncomfortable thinking about that trade. But I guess at the time, it made sense. We had a dominant ruckman in White at the time, and Jolly was showing a lot of promise. And we were desperate to land a key defender
-
Really pleasing to see Ramanauskas back playing footy again. Hope he goes well, but that his team still loses
-
i only caught the last bit of the show - but i thought i heard them say rusty from the scared weird little guys was made the no.2 ticket holder - perhaps it was an on-going joke for the morning
-
Whats the message we are receiving from the AFL. You can be caught buying drugs, make alleged paedophilic comments, and make an extreme physical retaliation to an insult. But if you make a $5 bet on the brownlow, or let a swear word slip out, you get punished. Can't believe he didn't even get fined for it.
-
Just out of curiousity, in what way do you think the selectors got it wrong. Pre-game, i thought they got it pretty much right with who was available
-
Personally, I just want the win. Neitz is out for 4, Robertson could be out for 10. If Newton is as good as everyone makes him out to be, he'll get his chance.
-
As much as i'd love to see someone like Newton get a shot at FF, in all reality Scarlett would tear him to pieces, and probably rebound off him and kick a bag of goals himself. We don't have anyone fit who is able to dominate against Scarlett. Ben Holland is pretty much the only choice in my opinion. He has played FF before. In all likelihood, he won't kick 4 or 5 goals, but he will provide a contest every time, forcing the ball to the ground, and at least keep the ball in our forward line for that little bit longer.
