I highly, highly doubt Goody and the FD see Omac as 'depth'. More likely they see him as a key back for us for the next 8 years, barring major injury. May and Omac will be our kpd's, Lever 3rd tall, Frost depth.
-
Agree DL5. I'd like to find a spot for Preuss to support Max, but I think speed is the need. If not KK, maybe Stretch (urghhh!). I want to see Oscar Baker sooner rather than later. Disposal by foot is the problem with Stretch and Baker. So much for depth....

Agree Earl. IMO Omac will play most games this year. He and May are our key backs with Lever as 3rd intercept tall upon return. That's what Lever does best. I highly doubt May could've done much to stop the flow on Sat. Frost should be depth. Our backs were put under heaps of stress from the clumsy, slow midfield. Looking forward to seeing KK and maybe Baker adding outside speed.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Moonshadow replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He's also only 190cm tall, not a key back at all. Does need a few more kgs too. Has the ability to take a grab and do some decent intercept work, but he would do better as an intercept sweeper once he picks up on the pace of AFL. Hore 190cm (84kg) Lever 195cm (91kg) May 193cm (100kg) Petty 197cm (89kg) Omac 196cm (100kg) Frost 194cm (93kg) -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Moonshadow replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought he got better as the game went on. Needs to get used to the pace of AFL. I think there's something we can work on. Having said that, I look forward to seeing May and Lever together in our backline. Hore then becomes depth. -
Yes, Oscar Baker might get a gig too, when he's fit
-
I think Hore struggled to find the pace of the game. His decision making wasn't quick enough. With a run of 3 or few games I think he could improve this and be a decent contributor, not great, but I saw a few things we might be able to work with
-
All excuses and 'what if's'. This is another game lost that will cost us at finals time, like StK et al last year. I'm predicting we will slip this year and could easily find ourselves 0/5 soon.

Name one of our forwards that had played better than Jack Watts today?

drink up!

Thought they've been generally poor overall, despite the numerous rule changes and clarifications

Are Tmac and Tracc playing or even on the ground....

Yes, but wasn't that a bucks night bus? No wonder!

Liam Jones only gets a fine. How stiff is Steven May?
Moonshadow replied to inanunda's topic in Melbourne Demons
And that, my friend, is what's called "flush". The degree to which force was applied is irrelevant to my original post in this chain. See ya. -
You're right mono. I'm ashamed. ?

Do tbey all play the same position? Team balence.

I disagree. Watch the video Daisy, the point of May's shoulder hit Berry on the front of his chin, that would be 'flush'. His head tilted back and he played no further part on the game. Revoldt played on. Had Berry been "out cold", May might well have got 3-4 weeks. He has history with the bump. Not sure Jones does. -
Roaming Bwyan is more pathetic this year than in 2018.

How good is it not to see a swarm of team runners on the ground zoning?

How the he'll was that a free to Duckwood?

Did you read that in a tweet?

And here's the full narrative by an eye witness. Doubt you'll be pleased with it. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/he-went-berserk-how-vicious-mcg-brawl-started-with-free-kick-decision-20190322-p516qg.html

May's shoulder hit Berry flush on the chin. To me it looked like Liam Jones hit Rievoldt's body and winded him badly One was head and one was body. That's the difference. (But I still think May's should have been a fine only) -
Nothing hypothetical, it's a fact. The Richmond fan punched the guy to the ground and then stood over him and continued smashing him while he looked to be unresonsive. Then turned and started punching into other people. Absolutely lost control. If there was more before the footage which he thought was wrong, he should have called for security. Stop condoning violence, Smokey.
