You chided posters for being critical of Jones dropping the mark, whatever the reason, and dismissed it as "a mistake, that's all". Given it likely caused a 12 point turnaround and killed momentum at an important time in the game, I'd say posters have every right to make negative comments about the dropped mark. I don't think he squibbed it, but I'm not "amazed" that others could be thinking this. I do think it's another example that Jones fails to lift when we desperately need him to drag us over the line. That's part of a captain's role. I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last season, old man time is knocking on the door.- James Hird joins Triple M commentary team
Apparently MMM have Dank doing the medical reports from boundary side. They tried to get Bomber Thompson, but he was too busy sniffing the boundary line- Training - Wednesday, 27th March 2019
Hahaha, yeh, sure you were- Training - Wednesday, 27th March 2019
You do realise his dropped mark 40m out and following slingshot back to Port's goal was a 12 point turnaround? That momentum killer was a 'game over' moment.- Cornes: Stop Whinging Dees
As if Cornes hasn't got a glaring conflict of interest in this. Nothing to see here- Jack Viney and the medical staff...
You love to bait Dazzle Bloody hell, I don't even understand what most of that means ? Drugs are bad! Thank [censored] for the ignore function, wish it extended to quoted posts... ?- Rd 1: Coaches Votes & Team of the Week
Why don't we ask SWYL? He knows exactly what votes are given by each coach.....- OUR FUTURE TEAM
This. Hard to stop goals when the midfield is slow and soundly beaten. Win in the midfield, put pressure in opposition fwd entries and even Frost looks good sometimes, e.g. the first two finals last year.- Gawn Hospitalised Days Prior to Round 1
Exactly what qualification does one need to speak with authority about "fungal matters"? Is that a Fremantle 'clinical' condition?- Geelong stadium deals
Is Casey in a marginal seat? That's how to get the big $- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Club website has Frost at 194 and Weid 195. Didn't we try Frost in the ruck a couple of years ago with poor results? Also tried him forward, which was worse.- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
You're welcome. Happy to help you out with that anytime. Just don't go all hypothesising about the return of Hogan again... ?- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Unless he makes a miraculous recovery, he should not play. Replace with Lewis (if fit) or Stretch. Anyone know how far away Baker might be?- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Wise, you must be one of the few who still thinks Lever is a key position defender. Oh, well...- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
I highly, highly doubt Goody and the FD see Omac as 'depth'. More likely they see him as a key back for us for the next 8 years, barring major injury. May and Omac will be our kpd's, Lever 3rd tall, Frost depth.- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Agree DL5. I'd like to find a spot for Preuss to support Max, but I think speed is the need. If not KK, maybe Stretch (urghhh!). I want to see Oscar Baker sooner rather than later. Disposal by foot is the problem with Stretch and Baker. So much for depth....- The Writing Was/Is on the Wall
Agree Earl. IMO Omac will play most games this year. He and May are our key backs with Lever as 3rd intercept tall upon return. That's what Lever does best. I highly doubt May could've done much to stop the flow on Sat. Frost should be depth. Our backs were put under heaps of stress from the clumsy, slow midfield. Looking forward to seeing KK and maybe Baker adding outside speed.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
He's also only 190cm tall, not a key back at all. Does need a few more kgs too. Has the ability to take a grab and do some decent intercept work, but he would do better as an intercept sweeper once he picks up on the pace of AFL. Hore 190cm (84kg) Lever 195cm (91kg) May 193cm (100kg) Petty 197cm (89kg) Omac 196cm (100kg) Frost 194cm (93kg)- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
I thought he got better as the game went on. Needs to get used to the pace of AFL. I think there's something we can work on. Having said that, I look forward to seeing May and Lever together in our backline. Hore then becomes depth.- POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Yes, Oscar Baker might get a gig too, when he's fit- Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
I think Hore struggled to find the pace of the game. His decision making wasn't quick enough. With a run of 3 or few games I think he could improve this and be a decent contributor, not great, but I saw a few things we might be able to work with- POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
All excuses and 'what if's'. This is another game lost that will cost us at finals time, like StK et al last year. I'm predicting we will slip this year and could easily find ourselves 0/5 soon.- GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
