I would try someone younger. Even Bowey. Milkshake can at times get the ball in theforward line and snap a goal. But as I said he doesn't tackle and tries to avert being tackled. Fritch is another one like milkshake but is a far better player. As you say no where to hide.

Yesterday was the same old same old. The only excuse is injuries and they were real but some of the efforts were poor. Our forward line is a joke.

We can guess who to put on the other wing until we are blue in the face. The club has had the whole summer with my guess they will put Baker there. Is that a solution ? no. You can also take your pick over Rivers, Sparrow, Jones, Bowey, Hunt and even Salem. Is the answer there? How one longs for a Robert Flower.

Bacline playing well. Midfield too depleted. Forwards I won't mention but they are trying. We badly need Oliver, Brayshaw and Viney playing.

I look at the forward line and shake my head. Spoon written all over it.

We play 3 of the top 4 teams in the run home. The only saving grace is that 2 of them are at Casey which helps a little. Problem is our style of play. There is too muh short stuffgoing on with bad decisions involved. Good sides will pounce on that and make you pay. Also our defence looks shakey. Birch is a good player but can't kick. Lampard and Eamonson are decent players who often go un noticed but are a couple of years away from being solid. I think you are right and we won't make it but if we can pull an upset over Adelaide there may be a chance.

We got better the more the game went but St Kilda were poor. At least we threw some moves around with the forward line having Pearce, Paxman and Gay rotating through there. Hore was quite good in the middle as well. Hanks is very quickly becoming my star. The 3 talls of Pearce, Cunningham and Zanker playes well. Zankers best game for the season. Again though we tend to handball and short kick it too much. There were some horrible decisions made out there both by foot and hand. Against a poorly skillled side it worked enough but do it against our next three opponents and we will get towelled up. Just look back to the filth game to see why. Our backline was inexperienced as well and this may be more of a problem next week. The crows are no slouches.

Well I will head down and have a look. Lose this and we are gone. Pity about Goldrick.
