For the first time in many years I feel some confidence with our future. Two players especially come to mind. Brayshaw and Newton.

People are getting Garland on their brains and probably rightly so. The one that gets me is Grimes. Slow, can't kick and turns it over to the opposition too many times. Not in my team.

I can remember very clearly the last time I bet on the footy. I had placed a $25 pick four which went out the window on the saturday. Wanting my $25 back I placed $200 on adelaide to beat melbourne over at footy park. Adelaide were 1 to 8 for a win and screaming hot favourites. Well we won by about 50 points with Farmer having a day out. I cannot remember the year ( 1990s) but it was the last time I ever bet on the footy. Don't bet against melbourne.

I will laugh my guts out if he stays a demon. Don't know how much mirth will be in it though.

Port are there to be beaten. Are we capable ? Yes. However what goes on in the head of MFC players will probably mean a loss. Then again a win wouldn't surprise me.

Jamar in and Spencer out. Where is the progress in that. I know Spencer isn't great but jamar just lumbers about getting in everyones way. He is also an old fossil compared to Spencer.

A training trip in Darwin is a waste of time. As for bonding well Sandringham beach would be just as good.
